I would just like to know Blizzard is aware of truly how bad Frost is. I mean there is a ton of posts and logs to back up the posts about how weak frost truly is, does the devs care? I don’t want to keep whining and actually I’ll be changing specs this week because I’m too invested in my mage to switch. I would just like to see a blue post responding to ANY post so we at least know they are listening. I do miss the Ghostcrawler days when they actually did listen to the player base. If this game wants to continue to grow, involving and listening to the player base would be a great place to start!
Frost needs a bit of help, sure.
But its holiday week and also M CN race to world first. I fully expect to see class tunings coming up for this next Tuesday, but the current radio silence is just a factor of logistics this week I think.
I legit lol’d at this.
But did you catch this nugget that I dropped the other day?
I’m not going to get into people’s skill levels or mental issues, there’s enough hostility on the forums and it’s Christmastime. But mage is not good right now, there’s no argument there. While I’m fully aware that people tend to overexaggerate their own issues and downplay the issues of others, frost IS bad and arcane’s not much better. The frustration from people is boiling over, especially when both specs were Walking Dead-style beat down with heavy nerf-bats pre-launch and are once again bringing up the rear of the dps charts. With MM still facerolling, unholy still the clear winner, etc. and nothing for frost/arcane it doesn’t sit well with people. I can’t blame the complaint posts.
Yea, it’s worthy of complaining. But fire is still definitely viable and desired in all forms of content, in the meantime.
Unholy is still very strong, but not the #1 outright undefeated champ anymore. Nerfs brought them in line:

(Mythic)
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/26#dataset=95&sample=7&difficulty=4
(heroic)
Also yea, MM is still very good, again there are actually other specs that beat it when in the hands of the right players (see above.)
Lol, I guess you can say that since Frost is the worst DPS spec in the raid right now.
Easy quick fix in the meantime: Don’t bring a frost to your raid.
With love,
Veshze
Class tuning is past due and Blizz never does class tuning until the world first Mythic is completed.
So it is already too late for Frost.
This is total disrespect from Blizz toward Frost mages.
Not asking to be top but at least more viable than we are now.
I am extremely surprised that as an Ele Shaman, you do not understand how Frost mages feel right now .
And yet here you are … beating a dead horse.
Good riddance to frost kiddies… All I have to say.
I totally understand how you feel. I really do. I’ve been maining shaman (resto) for years, and I offspec ele (which is why you probably see my armory as ele atm.)
We’ve been bad for years. YEARS. I’m so happy/excited that shaman is viable in all three specs as of right now. And that’s all I ever needed, to be viable. Not the top, just not a laughingstock.
What did I do when shaman was trash in Legion? Raided on dk, and alt the shaman.
What did I do in BFA when shaman was trash? Raided on both monk and shaman, but quickly had to use monk in M+. I couldn’t get into keys much otherwise.
All i’m saying is that fire is still just fine. Not the top, but fine. It was poggers to start BFA (until it was nerfed after 2nd week.) It finished BFA at the top.
Its currently highly desired in M+, and still desired/viable in raids. Just give it a shot. Changing covenants and leggos is not the end of the world. I got started late on the expac, and I’m still ok (still don’t have my bis resto leggo.)
Buffs will come, and probably coming next week. Like i said earlier, the Race is still going atm and its Christmas Week.
Again, to reiterate: I 100% understand and I don’t want you to go thru what shamans have felt for years. Its still early enough to make adjustments.
Well f***ing said. I have zero patience for Blizzards incompetence. This isn’t 2004 anymore. They need to figure it out and figure it out fast.
