I mean let’s be honest anyone that was there and lived it, knows that Outland 2.0 wasn’t exactly the success we were hoping for, don’t get me wrong, I found things to enjoy back in WoD, but I just think that it didn’t go deep enough. I mean BFA has its issues, but let’s be honest we got rich story line, cinematics, the content drought isn’t too bad, I mean BFA’s problems have been more to do with structure etc.
I simply don’t want another situation where Blizzard is trying to rush an expansion and constantly cutting bits out, so there isn’t enough lore and story to keep people interested.
I don’t think it will happen Bolvar is too noble to do anything other than sit on the Frozen Throne. He didn’t go through the things Arthas did before he became Lich King, I could see him helping out the factions in some way, but he won’t be another raid boss.
The cinematics team under Terran Gregory have absolutely killed it this expansion, no doubt about it. I hope we have a lot more to come. But the overall storyline has been absolutely atrocious, especially the War Campaign on both sides. Jaina has flip flopped more than N’zoth did in the Azshara cinematic. The one bright spot has been Bwonsamdi and Drustvar, everything else has been a trite, boring rehash of MoP.
That these things keep popping up in the middle of group content meant to be repeatable is IMHO one of the stronger indicators that they have completely lost touch with what it means to design for gameplay.
Till Sylvanas comes in kills him and takes his throne because she got kicked out of the horde and wants an undead army to get revenge on the living. We can see it coming from a mile away. Wrath 2.0, this time with the Lich Queen.
I mean, the new Lich king exterminated the last of the red Dragon flight, raised a new set of horseman, and waged war against the light in the Paladin order hall. I’d say he’s a good of a villain as any. It would be very interesting as well.
Bolvar would be thinking he’s “sooo different” from the Lich King but in reality they are different means to the same end. Would also be fun to see how the world reacts to DK players…they got some 'splainin to do after Legion.
Yeah dks get bolvar a new set of 4 horsemen, an arsenal of unholy rune blades, a new force of undead dragons while simultaneously causing the possible extinction of the red dragonflight and a force of death knights who seem to be falling back under bolvars will
I don’t want a Wrath 2, I want Wrath of the Lich King back. I’m hoping Classic WoW will become successful enough for Blizzard to consider BC and Wrath. Kill all those private servers off for good!
