Not sure I can take another pathfinder,

so you only want it to be a gold farmer.

Noted.

Flight has ruined economies.

For some things yes. I made a killing off of bloodstained bone early one but it wasnt because I was farming…I was flipping.
60gold per bone wasnt going to break my bank when EVERYONE else was farming it on foot too.

Game design is hard. I’m sure they work…just not all effort is created equal. But that is why I think free agency needs to be considered with Blizzard(and not just WoW to be frank). Square has yoshi who is incredibly connected with what fans are saying, sure he isnt perfect but he is MUCH better then what blizzard has.

Apparently the OLD devs were capable…so I dont want to think that that says about the current teams abilities.

oh nonsense crap.
Try harder. maybe even you will believe one of these jokes you tell.
if everyone has the SAME advantage no one is being taken advantage of.
The only thing in this game that gave unfair advantage that I see is the AH mount…which is easily remedied with a second wow account.

I think some of the new blood wouldnt be so bad if certain old blood that has stuck around left, to be honest(the good old blood has been gone for quite awhile, imo). I think the guy who gets all the attention isnt as much of the problem as people think. But thats another conversation/topic.

I want them to develop a gathering debuff.

Once you’ve looted 200 herbs or ore you gain a debuff called “sore hands”

Sore hands lasts 2 hours and prevents your from looting herbs or ore.

You do know how economics works, right? Like, supply and demand? If you’re making a killing in MoP content, it means people aren’t playing MoP content. You’re literally the black sheep here while pretending to be the majority.

I dunno. Since I’m actually playing the game instead of complaining about grind in an MMORPG, perhaps you’re the one who’s playing the wrong game here. You’re literally proving my point yet play like you somehow stumped me? I mean, Cata and MoP have been sub declines, so how does flying = more subs? Perhaps it’s not flying

But hey, go boot up a private server and turn on cheats. You can do a lot more stuff faster then!

Well, someone needed to say it. I have an article you may enjoy…

Nice one. I Agree.

huh. that might actually help stop the problem with multiboxers from killing a market over night

Ion gets a lot of hate, but he is far from the biggest issue with blizzard right now. He gets a lot of the hate, but there are a lot of issues at blizz, and he is far from the main one, imo. People who have been around much longer then him are much bigger problems and it isnt even close.

Which is perfectly acceptable. Explore the zones, complete all the storylines. Complete 100 WQs. At that point, there’s no need to lock flying away any longer.

Insisting on multiple reputation grinds via a single form of questing at 75 rep a pop and then gating the achievement to an arbitrary date adds nothing to this process. At this point, players have experienced the content. It feels like a punishment and flight is the carrot.

Not to mention, all reputations nowadays are exactly the same, unlike past expansions which had some variety, making them the most mundane, boring content in the game. If this is the content you’re going to give players, they’re going to want something that reduces the tedium associated with this type of content — flight.

Flight has always been about more than travel. Which is why it’s important to many players. It’s about agency and choice.

As for the whistle and portals, if flight is an inferior game feature, why the heck is it treated this way?

It worries me that the developers don’t understand why this is a big issue to many players. The player experience has gotten more tightly controlled since Warlords. Naturally, players are going to chafe at this. We can’t choose gear from a vendor, we can’t choose what gear to pursue in instanced content and PvP, we can’t progress our characters without grinding some intangible power system, we can’t choose our own game play schedule without missing out on some daily we need, so flight has become a last stand for many.

um…you DO know this isnt a REAL economy right? Money has to have personal VALUE…ie pay for your food and shelter…otherwise its all treated as expendable income and CANNOT be a true economy in the traditional sense.
ALL our money is expendable. Its a video game. its not an real economy.

huh…and yet HERE you are…complaining about complaining. Kinda ironic. At least MY whining is about the GAME and not about someone elses whining.

Ive no doubt that he isnt the only problem, but isnt he pretty much the head guy now? All roads lead to him if thats the case.
I mean, the president may not commit all the bad crap, but if he knows about it or allows it then hes still culpable and one who needs to answer for it.

Don’t you have to unlock flying in each zone in FF14?

If only that was the case.

MMOs are living proof that people will latch on to the most mundane thing and champion it until they’re hoarse. I guess everyone’s looking for a hill to die on, even if it’s a molehill.

WoD Pathfinder? Yeah, didn’t like it, it was clearly a last minute choice, one that wouldn’t have even come to pass if folks hadn’t been so upset about no flying.

Legion Pathfinder? Totally fine, you unlocked it by playing the expansion at the most basic level, casual content. The only people who made it hard on themselves were the geniuses who wanted to get it a week earlier so they farmed nethershards for hours on end, in one of the most hilarious displays of cutting off your nose to spite your face I’ve ever seen. I bet the devs immediately started drinking when they saw that was happening.

BfA? Even more straightforward. The only thing that would improve it? They make Pathfinder in its entirety able to be completed at Xpac launch.

But really, even that wouldn’t stop the knee jerk ‘PATHFINDER BAD’ that has become the rallying cry of some people. So… they make it so that it’s per character only, and costs as much as 5k did back in BC. I.E an objectively worse model for players, but hey, that’s how it was done before, in the good old days.

And please, don’t kid yourselves. You didn’t quit because of Pathfinder, you quit because the game is 15 years old and you were looking for an excuse to move on to something else.

Ya, but its much easier then you think. A large portion of the aether currents you get, you get while doing the story in the zone and you pass by 90% of them while doing story quests.
