Not Sunday but

Blizzard has a history of feeding horde players one narrative and alliance players a completely separate narrative in an apparent effort to make each feel like heroes while portraying both as villains in the other narrative. What if the Mag’har opening scenario is like that? I have played for far too long to believe it is as black and white as blizz made it out to be, and if they keep factions around after SL, I imagine we will be seeing Yrel again and the alliance will most likely be presented with different facts than the horde got while recruiting the Mag’har.

You’re giving the writers far too much credit. They make stuff up as they go along with input from animators who say “Put in X cuz it would look really cool! Don’t worry about the story.”

That is definitely on my top 5 of worse lazy story writing by Blizzard. True crime what they did.

I don’t think it is. The mag’har already had their time when they were trying to commit genocide on the AU draenei. Also, we know the light is pretty forceful already, so it wouldn’t surprise me that the naaru are telling the draenei to forcefully convert the orcs.

Ok. But we wont know that for sure until we see what has happened for ourselves and Blizzard often gives the two sides two different sets of facts.

The you don’t need to see the other side, Yrel is clearly in the right, even in the scenario meant to show she isn’t.

She found a solution to the orc’s unending need to kill, and they rejected it.

I’m shocked they didn’t stop doing this after how annoyed people were about the Broken Shore

Horde: Holy hell, we’re being overrun, the Alliance led us into a trap. Blow the horn to let everyone know what’s up and retreat and regroup. Also did our leader just die to a trash mob?

Alliance: Did the Horde just ditch us? Better jump on an airship but not have a single soul look down to see how badly everything on the horde side was overrun. Also did our leader just get disenchanted?

Is that not the way it should be?
The bad guys don’t consider themselves to be the bad guys.

Varian didn’t get disenchanted. He was deleted out of Azeroth’s backpack to make room for Legion relics.
