Ah. I haven’t played that. I mostly meant other games like WoW. EQ, EQ2, Rift… seemed like a new mmo came out every month after WoW and EQ2 launched.

I’m glad you have a great community… Classic has so so many crappy individuals. The server I just left werent just debating gender identity, they were straight up calling trans people inhuman and everyone was laughing and cool about it. Also got dunked on for trying to find a friendly guild or dungeon run. Needless to say, much happier on my new server.
I know my class and im not looking for a carry. Im looking for others like me who want to run dungeons but its non existent. The “community hype” is just that… HYPE… Its not a real thing.
I think it depends on the server. Our Orgrimmar on fairbanks is butt packed. The biggest hype right now is the hate train for boosted characters tho. It’ll pass but people its an easy thing for folks to be whatever the word for racist is that is against boosted players is so that could be a struggle.
It’s hard because server communities are already established, that’s why some people wanted fresh.
I really recommend you give it a week, walk through the dark portal and go from there. Once everyone is leveling up together, and lots of dungeons are going on which you should be able to get a spot in at that time, things should get better. Right now many people aren’t doing Classic dungeons. They are taking a break from that etc.
Classic absolutely does have a community and lots of great small communities but it’s not the easiest time right now trying to break into it. There are a bunch of new guilds etc though which will help you. It may require some work on your part to find them but honestly wait until next week when you are running the TBC dungeons and doing quests with people and you should be able to find something organically from that.

I will say the prepatch has 100% brought out the worst type of people for some reason. What I would do is find your server’s discord and carefully look through the clan recruitment posts. Thats how I found my last guild and it was an excellent experience.

What groups are you even looking for? People are either leveling blood elves/Draenei or grinding PvP.
TBC hasn’t even started, yet.

Dungeon groups or leveling to get to 60. WOuld like to start at 60 on the 1srt
Well you’re 58, so you’re close at least. You might just need to grind it out the rest of the way. The time between expansions is always strange.
