not rested in Deepwater Tavern, Wetlands, Eastern Kingdom upon logging in or hearthing.
in order to become rested I must exit the inn and re-enter.
I believe I have been missing out on rested-perks while logged out, unlike expected.

Do you just not see the “zzz” on your portrait, or actually not gaining any rested XP? If the first option, if you reload the UI while in the inn, does it change? There are a lot of times for me the visual resting status is bugged, but still working. If you log out immediately you are most likely resting.
Having the same issue. No rested experience from inn’s Have the zzz on the portrait. Logged out in Desolace and Shadowprey Village, and at Splintertree Post in Ashenvale.
