Not re-subbing until RDF Comes back

You tell me. You’re the one trying to push Vanilla onto WOTLK. Make up your mind.

Exactly…at the height of Wows success: over 12million subs…Ozzy Osbourne commercials and all, WE HAD RDF. I rest my case.

Blizzard you know what you must do.

Let the retail tourists go back to retail?

Cool, cya.

Yeah, go to retail or wait for it to be released.

You’re subbed to retail too you goofball. Everybody is. There is 1 sub to this game.

Can we go back to queue threads?

It was released after three raid tiers. That isn’t the middle of wrath. Wrath’s content drought doesn’t qualify as more time considering the Cata release was postponed.

Well, I resubbed in part due to RDF not being implemented, so I guess Blizz has broken even on this one.

Can I haz your stuff?

Pre-RDF Wrath: 1 year
Post-RDF Wrath: 1 year

You can try to phrase it however you want, but RDF existed for half of the lifetime of Wrath. That is the truth.

Make another commercial with Ozzy?

Those will come back at wotlkc launch, dont worry.

That’s the raid loggers mind set. They think the only content that matters is the latest raid. When I was raiding with my priest I only played her one day a week. The other 5 days I was questing and doing dungeons with the rdf on alts. I spent more time every week in that last year using rdf with my alts then I spent raiding with my main.

Look, you don’t get to refer to RDF as “retail garbage” and then backtrack and saying “well wotlk didn’t launch with RDF”.

Whatever your opinion of RDF it was demonstrably a part of wotlk. A meaningful discussion can not progress while the foundation of an argument is constructed upon lies.

Honestly, how much time in the game is actually spent in low level dungeons? why is this so important to you that you can teleport to a dungeon with a random group?

It doesn’t work for anything meaningful at end game. I don’t get all the complaints.

Hashtag dungeon crawls not cublicle crawls

I’ll tell you why: I’ve been playing classic since launch (off and on). My lowest point, BY FAR, was at the end of phase 2 in TBC. I was leveling an alt and I could not find a group for current (non-heroic) dungeons. I sat in LFG chat looking for hours, often sitting at 4/5 members waiting for a tank that never came.

I was on a server that was popular at launch, but the population got very thin. I was offered a free transfer and I took it. I haven’t had problems finding groups since then, but if you ever wondered why mega-servers exist, this is why…you literally could not play the game during these down periods without being on a mega server.

Now, we see the negatives of mega-servers…huge queues, lag, and overpopulation. But these servers were our only option back then.

If RDF existed, I (and probaby many others) would never have transferred. Mega-servers would probalby still be a thing, but nowhere near the size they are now.

This is it? you want to level and alt solely via dungeon grinding? That is what this all boils down to?

Its actually just under half (48%) IF you are only judging by raw time. Which ignores content droubt.

Try looking at it from major parch cycles.

3.0 no rdf
3.1 no rdf
3.2 no rdf
3.3 had rdf

So thats 25%

Now averaging those 2 values of 48% and 25% is a MUCH more accurate representation of how much rdf was part of wotlk because it takes into account the content droubt. Which is 36.5%.

No, I but i did want to supplement my questing with dungeons. What happened was I ended up leveling solely through quests because it was my only option. It was demoralizing and was the single reason I quit the game.

Grouping and the lack of RDF aren’t issues during launch and they’re not issues during content releases. They are issues in between busy times. They are issues for people on smaller realms. They are issues for people who play during off-peak times. And they are the direct cause of these massive servers and massive queues that we are seeing now.
