Once again Blizz, great Job (sarcasm). One of the big things you clowns said before the new affix changes, was, we don’t want you playing the AFFIX. I think you have dismally failed at this, How you say. Well, I just went to check my talents on wowhead for Boomie. For m+, they are no longer listed for dungeon, AOE or sngle builds, They are purely built for the different affix’s. Considering a huge chunk of the player base get toon info there, it would suggest that even they put a huge relevance on the affix play style for the week. Sorta goes totally against what you said, DON’T YA THINK.
Franky its a skill issue
They made the new talent system to have the flexibility to build what you need for the content you need at the time. This actually plays right into their hands, and in all honesty is completely fine with me. You aren’t mad at the system, you are just mad at change. just cope a little.
yuppers
Occasionally changing to using a dispel or Hibernate/Cyclone is that big of a deal for you?
First day in Bizzaro world eh? ‘We won’t’, means it’s already on PTR. Heh
You can build your boomy however you like and be fine for most content.
I’m sorry it’s so hard for you to press a single button every forty-five to ninety seconds; worst skill issue out there.
I feel like needing to account for an affix is not precisely the same as “playing the affix.”
Just did incorporeal for the first time yesterday, didn’t seem like an issue at all.
DH hit imprison. Wow.
As a holy priest, I might hit chastise so it doesn’t do anything until a harder CC is applied but whatever.
I’m sorry, is you complaint that the new affix and talent systems makes “I just copy and paste a build from wowhead” harder?
I dunno, that feels like a feature, not a bug to me. I think I’m at the point where I change at least 1 talent point for all 8 M+ dungeons now. Also this week I need to work Hex in. Having a strong understanding of your talent tree is a new type of skill expression that will separate you from other player’s of your class.
They lied, they always do. And here we are ended up with this horrible affix on live servers…
You only need 1 or 2 people to handle the affix completely.
The other 3 people can be literally anything.
I tell my groups that I will always get 1, that means 4 people are left to get the other one.
Prove it?
Maybe you should post a link. Because the boomy section is still broken down by raid/single target and m+/aoe. The closest you get to what you said is this, in the m+ section:
Oh noes. You might have to swap out two points in your class tree. The horror.
What’s the difference between swapping to your dispel for dungeons with curses and poisons (which most druids don’t bother doing anyway…) and swapping for an affix?
Being a Warrior or a DK this week it’s not even joking, near impossible to get into keys. I have to run with my guildies that have a Shaman and Monk or I won’t be able to do any this week. I’m 2368 IO with 432 iLvl and can’t even get into a 16.
Making an affix that requires hard CC and having a class like Warrior which has literally 0 baseline CC at all is absolutely insane to me. DKs don’t have it much better either.
Entangling was actually a good affix imo, but Incorporeal is worse than Explosive, Bursting, or pre nerf raging because you HAVE to bring multiple certain classes and ignore others.
You posted this on a hunter character. It’s not even possible to spec out of Freezing Trap. Which you can literally throw down as one is spawning and never have to worry about it again for the duration… A single GCD to completely invalidate the affix. “Horrible.”
I don’t think you understand what they meant. Taking a CC talent doesn’t mean the affix overshadows the dungeon.
Yup. I do the same. Its nice that the affix has a long enough spawn cooldown that paralysis is always ready.
Oh no god forbid you use your brain and figure out what talents are better for each situation. Wanna know an even scarier secret OP? There are correct talents PER dungeon.
Don’t have a panic attack now, I know it’s a lot to handle.
Sounds like you need a better team. Preferrably ones who know their stun and interrupt buttons
Warriors did get the short end of the stick on this particular affix. Warriors that refuse to take Stormbolt when they’re doing M+ just in general are probably even worse off.
