Not good enough for M0 because

Talk to a npc, only npcs I know of is one in loch modan and the chick behind the mission table in your garrison

Because you are 1 dps in a list of often 20-30 who sign up.

Raider.io has nothing to do with it other than as a scapegoat for people who don’t get picked.

Maybe the “zerg to harlan” freehold groups would use it. But normal m0s? Most likely not.

Thanks. I tried one on my leveling monk, offered in Kun Lai, and was only able to try damage even on my healer, and the whole thing bugged out—no credit at the end, and only way to exit was to hearth. I’ll have to check them out at cap

Np, I can’t speak for the healing challenge but I know in the dps challenge each stage is timed. Probably so tanks and healers can’t just sit there slowly grinding them out. I got stuck the first time i tried it, but it’s the same as a lfg, just choose leave instance group

Yea I remember there were achievements for doing it in the wrong spec, which for some still wouldn’t be a problem

So then people go back to using just ilvl to evaluate people? Or asking for people to link achieves? For M+ raider io is a great add-on. It gives people tools to evaluate a group. Otherwise, I wouldn’t ever form M+ groups outside of my friends list or guild. So without raider io or something like it, there would be a lot LESS content available to people.

People using M+ score to pick people for M0 is ridiculous and they are misusing it. But people like that will misuse anything - achievements, ilvl, # of runs, etc.

But simply put, a group leader is the one putting the effort into forming the group. If you don’t like the methodology they use, you need to find another or form your own group or find other content.

Oh and raider io score is most similar to rated PVP. Should we get rid of rated pvp because I don’t get invited to groups because they want someone with 2600 experience? I don’t get mad or frustrated by not getting into that group, I simply find groups that are forming for my current rating or what my XP allows. M+ is no different. Either get the experience people want for members of their group or make your own.

I can tell you, I have experienced it - plenty of times.

I have been in several raiding guilds since I started playing this game; and I can think of at least two instances where I joined a guild only because someone took the time to guide me or was friendly enough to show me the mechanics of a raid encounter. In both cases, I was not even considering becoming a raider, but because of their willingness and openness, I happily joined their guild.

So, it does pay to train new players. The new player you are reach out to help today could be the person you add to your friends list and enjoy playing with tomorrow. It’s a shame that the community has turned into a “I got mine, so you don’t matter” way of thinking.

Okay and I’ve never seen it work after 2 decades of actually helping. I still continue to help.

I don’t know where you got “I got mine, so you don’t matter” but that is clearly not what is being said or done.

You seem to want to blame score for your problems…

What you Should be doing is praising score for helping you dodge groups being led by idiots who dont understand the system.

Stop looking for reasons to blame a tool that aids people.

I’ve had no trouble this week finding groups for the M0 weekly quest on this alt that I just geared a week ago. No one checked my IO score for a normal mythic dungeon, or if they did, they didn’t care because my current IO score is a whopping 76. While I’m not a fan of raider IO, at your i-level I’m going to have to say that something in your story isn’t adding up.

I guess I don’t understand raiderio… but your ilvl is plenty high for probably most M+'s let alone M0

Wait, I just realized you only have one good eye! You have to be able to have full peripheral vision in M0! Sorry…

I didn’t mean to target you with the “I got mine, so you don’t matter” statement, but the community definitely has it. To me the game felt like this for the past couple of years: a new raid tier comes out and if you don’t do the encounter within the first 2-3 weeks, you’re left way behind. And it’s frustrating for people who either took a break or who don’t raid (that often) and would like to experience the content for the first time. People have said countless times in groups I’ve been in that they are not teaching someone because it’s a waste of time and they wiped a million times already with their guild.

I hate to go back in the day, but the game felt more friendly then because without server transfers, you more than likely heard of the person because they probably posted sometimes on the realm’s forum or you recognized them from their guild tag. Communities were much more tight-knit and people, at least when I played on Kilrogg, helped each other instead of dismissed others because of lack of experience.

ya you dont have a score :stuck_out_tongue: its IS cause ur a rogue, useful no matter and if u accidently pull u can just vanish no harm no foul :stuck_out_tongue:
@OP ya man just make ur own group, raiderio is “the way” right now,
let GD show you the wey mon’…

Then you have had a fair bit of bad experience. I have found my statement to be true more often then not.
Approach may have a factor. I do not know how you approach helping people. I personally try to get them on voice comms and get to know them as I help them out figure out their personal play style and how they think to better facilitate assisting them in getting better.

It’s usually pretty reliable now that mythic 0’s were buffed to give higher ilvl loot. Before, there was hardly any groups running for m0’s when the loot was still 340(Both alliance and horde group finder were barren). Now you can legitimately make groups, even as a DPS and fill up pretty quickly.

Mythic dungeons in general are filled with toxic elitism the higher you go. I’ve found that using comms helps tremendously but that’s only if people actually join.

More often then not something will go wrong and you get berated by some guy whose IO score is barely pushing 1k thinking your route is bad, you can’t kick, or you can’t hold aggro. It just doesn’t seem to phase them that comms is necessary especially in weeks like now where the smallest mistakes like missing an explosive or getting an interrupt will wipe the group.

I normally avoid pugs for that reason but sometimes you have to join a pug and hope everyone is on the same page. Normally, I join groups and ask, “How’s everyone doing today?” and if I don’t get any responses I just drop the group then and there because if they can’t communicate something as simple as that the group is destined to fail.

To break it down from my experience as a tank in Mythic+ is that it’s just pure toxic and full of 900-1k IO elitists the higher up you go and it’s better to avoid players like that for the sake of your enjoyment and the rest of the group.

Raider IO is the only real tool we have to tell if someone is gonna be a asset or a hindrance to the group before you waste a mythic key on them. It’s still not a great system as you need to have experience with high level mythics to get reliable invites but in order to get experience you need to do runs, hence the issue.

That being said, I’ve never had an issue getting a mythic+ group when I put it together myself with my own key. I guess people don’t want to put in the extra effort to get their own group and they just want a quick invite to a group while at the same time not having experience in said content.

PS. OP it takes like 5 minutes max to make an m0 group for the world quests.

Oh great.hearing this OP,now i’m questioning wither i even set foot in a mythic. No wonder why people are leaving and the more reason for “welfare epics” to even finish content.

If it makes you feel any better, I require 1k IO + AOTC for my M0.
