I have done the this quest 4 times now. Everyone in my group is getting credit but for me I am not getting credit for the quest or any loot once the event is completed.

I also did not get credit. I just came back to Dragon flight and Iām not sure if there is a pre request Iām missing. I did it with a raid and only a couple of us didnāt get credit.

Same issue did it on 2 characters, about 5 times no credit.

What in the world is going on here? There are so many bugs in this new patch it is ludicrous. Legendaries are bugged, despite being reported on the PTR. Cache was bugged and how many people were screwed out of a replacement that never came? People not getting items out of their vault? How did all of this go live in this state?

Has anybody tried dropping the quest and picking it back up? Iāve also done it three times with no luck.

No, havenāt tried that.
I did however just attempt it for a 2nd time and still no credit.
I will add something that I noticed. The little shards you need to build the pillars and the alters, it seems everyone else is able to interact with them but I canāt. Also, someone tried sharing a quest with the raid before the event started and it said that I was ineligible to accept. So, maybe there is some weird thing that you had to do in S2 (That I skipped) that is creating some kind of a conflict with doing this weekly, I donāt know.
What I do know is I A. Canāt upgrade my legendary due to a bug and B. Canāt complete this weekly, also because of a bug. Iām trying to play your game Blizzard, but it doesnāt seem like you want me to.

i did find a post on Redit. says you need to have completed quest chains to open up world quest in the caverns. i now see a horn when i look at mini map. will update next event if this was the solution.

after completing the pre req quests i got credit. hope this helps.
We didnāt elders last night and didnāt get credit for them at all. Like they were your average NPC wandering in the zone, I think we got 8 gold for downing them.
Yeah same, I believe I am not really in the event when it starts.
Someone I play with mentioned maybe I am missing a quest line to make this active. I am not playing on a new character and didnāt get through a lot of the quests in Dragonflight on this character so its possible but thatās really crummy design to give us a weekly with no indication that we canāt do it, if that is the case.

Yeah that was my suspicion but thanks for confirming! I still think its crummy and intuitive. I have seen in other quests that require another chain to be completed the quest will say āComplete this quest firstā and show you where to start it which would be very helpful. I googled and I am not even sure what quests I am missing to do it.

Can confirm, once you complete the Embers of Neltharion quest line, world quests will open up in the caverns and a horn will appear above the weekly.
Seems a lot of people are at different points of the questline but if you open up your quest log and start wherever your Neltharion quest line is and follow it through, you should be fine.

what pre req quests?
I can confirm you have to complete the questline āEmbers of Neltharianā which starts at Valdrakk. You dont have to finish all of it. Just part if it that takes you to Looam and youll be able to get the pop up for the weekly
