I know that the maps are supposed to be a rare drop, but I’ve opened at least 100 disturbed dirt and expedition packs and I’ve not gotten any. This started happening after I got a duplicate map at one point; Getting the Nokhud Spear map even after I had already gotten it and used it to find its location.
Like I said, I know the maps are a rare drop, but this feels like a bug?

This was part of the reply to my latest part of the ticket I have ongoing with support. Many support reps are friendly and helpful. This one…I don’t think they got it.
I wasn’t asking for a hint. I don’t think it’s appropriate to be told that my issue isn’t an issue if the team doesn’t already know about it.
When I’ve looted over 15K gold in trash loot since the last time I saw a map, there’s a problem. No, that is not an exaggeration.
I don’t have the Pepper Hammer. My thought is perhaps its map was destroyed a year or more ago because I didn’t know how important they would be at the end of the xpac and I needed bag space. You can see by the comment they indicate that I have credit for it, but I don’t. I checked literally every character I have that is between level 60 and 70. Nothing.
Since this achievement is character specific, using a different character would mean I have to start from the beginning and loot dozens of maps I already have credit for on the character I’m trying to finish up the achievements on. AND THEN, I still couldn’t guarantee that other character isn’t in the same boat, wasting more time.
I just need 5 more gat dang treasures. Everything else for A World Awoken has been done. Everything. Even figuring out how to get credit for that stupid Loot Specialist.
If I don’t figure this out I might never be able to get Taivan.
So, since posting this I’ve figured it out. There’s actually only some treasures that need maps. Others can just be found around the world, with some having minor puzzles to get them.
I wasn’t aware of this myself, but since finding that out, I’ve been able to check Wowhead and have since found all the treasures needed for the achievements.
So turns out it’s not a bug, I’m just a fool.
