Not getting any artisian aquity from my second profession

Since I don’t really need any crafting prof, I decided to pick a herbalsim as an addition to mining on my new war. Then I’ve noticed that I did not receive a single point of aquity from getting knowledge in my second profession. How ecxactly does it work? Like, am I supposed to get aquity only from my first profession?

You should get aa from both herbalism and mining. You don’t get aa from ‘getting knowledge’ for any gathering professions. Theres 350 bonus aa from an initial quest once per toon. Then for both herbalism and mining there are weekly quests for 3kp and 15aa and 45aa from drops that give kp and aa for herbalism and 40aa for mining.

Once you have gathered the weekly KP items, you will get catch up items if you are behind in your weekly gathering.

I’m not sure what do you mean, because all “usable” mining knowledge items give me AA at 5to1 ratio. And I’m trying to figure out, why it’s not working the same way for herbalism.
For example, renown items that gives you 10 knowledge costs 50 AA and when you use it gives you the same 50 AA(5 for each of 10 knowledge). But because I can’t see the system, I am too afraid to buy the similar item for herbalism, because in case it won’t work I’ll be down 50 AA which could delay my blue gear craft etc.

My herbalism drops are giving me acuity no problem. See the following image:

Do you have another gathering prof on the same char?

What I mean by knowledge points not necessarily giving aa…

  1. When you get the profession treasures you get 3 knowledge points but no aa.
  2. When you pick a new herb or ore type you get a knowledge point but no aa.

However, the knowledge points drops and weekly quests give aa for both herbalism and mining. The books you buy for aa also give aa when you use them for both herbalism and mining. (They removed aa from 1 and 2 above to make the rewards from profession shuffling less).
