Ufff 15000 echoes… on how many alts. Why only 4 days blizz? If I dont do it know Ill be weeks before I see it again! Why mist this be a predicament. Can we add 18 corruption enchants instead of 6 to mother?
I just made sure to grind my echoes daily. So this week I had 15k waiting for me to use when rank 3 severe came up.
I had to deal with some funeral stuff sadly.
It’s not even that bad. Major black empire assault- 625 echoes. Minor black empire assault- 375 echoes. Two horrific vision full clears (you get enough currency to buy 2 keys every Tuesday)- 1,500 echoes. WQ emissary- 250 echoes. Ny’alotha full clear (100 echoes avg/boss)- 1,200 echoes. PVP Weekly cache- 1,000 echoes (avg). M+ Weekly cache- 1,500 echoes (avg). You get 6,450 echoes every Tuesday just by playing toons normally. Then 1,000 on Wed (WQ+Vision). 250 on Thurs (WQ). 1,375 on Fri (WQ, Vision, Assault). 1,000 on Sat (WQ, Vision). 250 on Sun. 1,000 on Mon (WQ, Vision). You get about 11,325 echoes a week just by playing the game normally.
Edit: Then you get more by spamming M+/Arenas.
I just wish it didn’t take weeks (assuming the order is set) before we’ll see it again.
I did buy a lot though…
Yea thats my point if I dont grind that stuff now weeks will pass before its available again.
That’s more than most people are going to do lol.
Corruptions just need to not be on a rotation honestly, they’re already expensive enough, just have them all up
You see them once a month. That’s not even that bad. Most people will be done buying all their corruption within that month. Grind harder if you know something is/might be coming up. I’m only missing 18K worth of corruption now, to finish two different sets of gear.
Id rather take my time. It sucks that I have to wait for a specific 3.5 day period. I hope blizzard doubles or triples the corruption inventory to lessen this problem.
You’re asking people to do hours of boring content over the course of the week lol, not going to happen.
I don’t really care personally, I’ll take what corruptions the game gives me naturally. Maybe at some point in a month or two i’ll be able to buy one that I want.
Did the same thing with essences, still mostly have only rank 2s as I’m not going to do things I don’t like. Who cares if the best essence for my class is from pvp or M+, i hate those pieces of content and i’m not doing them.
Hours? No I’m not. If you looked at my math post… Most days you just do a single emissary. Some days you do an emissary and a Vision. It’s only Tuesday that’s busy.
Over the whole week it’s hours, if something takes 20 minutes a day, that’s 140 min or 2 hours and 20 minutes a week, on top of raiding 3-6 hours a week. You’re talking probably 10+ hours playing one game if you wanted to hit anywhere near that 11k. A lot of people aren’t going to put that many hours into one game.
That amount of chores is not normal for most people, most people don’t even play WOW everyday.
And those people will not get those corruptions. If you do not put in the time, you should not expect the same level of rewards as people who do. What’s the issue here? I want mythic raid gear; I can’t commit to a multi night raid schedule; I do not mythic raid; I do not get mythic raid gear. This is how it has always been.
Its not, and dont even bring Mythic raid argument to this, you can raid mythic with 4hrs/week schedule.
This chore based grind only started in Legion.
I distinctly remember grinding dailies as far back as BC, for different rewards in different forms, but nonetheless needed. Even in classic one could argue the hours of farming before a raid was the equivalent of dailies. WotLK had SO many dailies I would cap them every day, the most prominent of which I remember being Sons of Hodir. I literally did farming chores every single day in MoP. I don’t remember WoD very well since I had a short stint. I’m sorry but dailies/chores have been a WoW staple.
I call BS on 4 hours a week for a mythic raiding schedule. I mean I guess technically you can, but you won’t be progressing very far or very fast. I’m probably not the best player, but most guilds aren’t even 12/12 yet and it’s been months…
You can skip badge or daily gears since they only serve as a starter gear for each patch. Corruptions isn’t even on the same level.
Basically you remembered wrong.
I mean, grinding reps in past expansions had a clear end point. You either went to exalted for the fluff rewards or stopped at revered for the shoulder/helm enchants.
People complained about the MoP dailies all the time, but if you were raiding there really wasn’t much of a reason to do them.
Right now you basically have no endpoint unless you force yourself to have one.
Many hours a week. And your list of “things I expect you to do on your alt” is anything but “normal”.
Sure let’s single in on BC instead of WoW as a whole. I was more talking about the grind always being there for something or another. Echoes grind is no different. My initial point was more to do with if you don’t put in the time, you cannot possibly expect the same rewards as someone who does.
