A friend of mine he doesn’t do Torghast and it’s fine because he gets cosmic flux from M+ and Raiding. Short of soul cinders for the 292 legendary and wondering how to obtain cinders without doing Torghast?
You mainly get it through Torghast but you can do the covenant assaults in the maw as well.

How much do you get from each assault and how many weeks to get 1650 cinders ?
I have no idea, I don’t usually do those. I just spam 10s, you don’t have to do a full clear - just kill the end bosses on floor 1,2,4 and the final boss on floor 5. As a hunter I recommend you do the feign death legendary for more chances to drop combat. If you get the feign death -15s cd power in Torghast, you can feign death whenever you want. Hard mobs that you can’t skip with camo, you can freezing trap or worst case scenario turtle.
I just run Torghast level 9 a few times. I think it’s 230 Soul Cinders per run.

You are feeding the troll. Ragemode just wants for someone to say that you have to run torghast for cinders. So he can well… go ragemode over it.
Also he quits the game over something every other day.
By accepting the fact you’ll never get it then
If they have their rank 6 ,tell them thats all they’ll get if they don’t like Torghast
Now find another reason to be ragemode
My alts got plenty doing the weekly Korthia quest and Covenant Assaults in the Maw, but it takes time. None of them have done Torghast beyond farming companions and a few lower layer runs here and there.
If they have R6, they don’t need cinders, just flux to go to 7.
1-4: ash
5, 6: cinders
7: flux
Correct, you can get 200/week from the maw weekly content (50x2 from assaults, 100x1 from tormenters)
