As recommended in that thread, I’ve had my machine into the shop and gotten my BIOS updated to the latest version. Alas, the crashes continue, and since I last posted in the previous thread the crashes have spread beyond just hearthing into Dalaran (Broken Isles). Actually, they have stopped happening when hearthing to Dalaran and are now tending to happen while I’m taking a flight path.
Continued observation led me to conclude that this was usually happening when I had Chrome open in the background, which is pretty much all the time (need something to read while on long flight paths), so I installed Firefox and have been using that today to see if anything different happens. Nope. Two more crashes with Firefox open.
I’ve also upgraded the drivers for my GTX 1050 at least twice since the previous thread. I currently have driver version 419.67.
This is getting very annoying.
