Not enjoying Arms or Fury design

Both Arms and Fury do not feel satisfying to play right now in PvP.

For Arms, I do not enjoy being forced into rend/thunderous roar. I much prefer the meat of my rotation being between overpower/mortal strike/execute.

Not only this, but we are now creeping up on too many keybinds for Arms.
Here’s how to fix it:
-Slam/Rend should be on a choice node
-Remove Sweeping Strikes, whirlwind should function similar to fury.
-Remove Ignore Pain, replace with the “Slaughter” arms artifact passive that allows you to heal based on rage spent. Much healthier. Removes a keybind, encourages you to attack your target and helps to save rage.

For Fury, what happened to this spec? In Shadowlands I had a blast on Fury but now it is a mess. I’m shocked I haven’t seen anyone mention this yet but REMOVE Slaughtering Strikes. This single talent is killing the spec. Generating high rage to spend on a rampage is the only gameplay needed. We do not need to endless spam raging blow, overcapping on rage just to hit hard with rampage. Bake the damage back into rampage at a base level and the spec will start to shine.

If you’re holding rampage to get more stacks of slaughtering strikes, you’re sacrificing sustain for more burst. Removing it and baking it into the spell increases sustain and lowers potential burst. Know what else does that? Just pressing rampage as normal and not worrying about slaughtering strikes. Slaughtering strikes is far more flexible, and is in no way killing the spec. Oversimplifying everything with these ideas is what is killing specs.

I can not disagree more here. The base damage of Rampage must be lowered to compensate for this talent added in Dragonflight. Our new set bonus grants an increase in damage to rampage. The reason why? Because it’s underperforming as a spender because it now must be balanced around Slaughtering Strikes.

A fair compromise would instead only allow Slaughtering Strikes to stack up to 3 times instead of 5. If I had the option, I would still prefer to remove it completely.

It wasn’t

It isn’t

It’s not

This wouldn’t do all that much. Could be wrong as I’ve been playing dragon, but getting 5 stacks doesn’t seem that common. Maybe after pressing onslaught.

Well now, someone has been living in a bubble it seems. The days of Reckless abandon RB spam has been dead for awhile. Anger management is much better.

It’s not. It’s not even something you concern yourself with.

Im no high end player, but what i dislike about arms is having all the frigging mortal strike multipliers. I spend 3 to 4 gcds to try and buff the ms, only to have the target die or need to change targets. If i lead with the ms without multipliers to get deep wounds going it hits for 20k. Feels like sh*t

I think what they want to avoid is execute replacing mortal strike in execute phase. So, if execute buffs mortal strike that won’t happen. But the consequences are annoying.

I was talking pvp

I would have agreed with you if you were talking about the bloodthirst build. While it has really solid defense, it’s boring and dmg is just okay. I swapped to the raging blow + wrecking blow build to prepare for teir and I’m back to having a ton of fun on fury. The dmg is really good finishing rounds with 45-50k dps and it’s just fun hitting stuff other than bloodthirst.
