It hasn’t been available in a while, and their ticket system is spiritually taxing to go through. Anyone else notice this or know why?
3minutes 42 seconds it took for them to open your ticket and deal with it in person, ingame.
now its more like 3 days , over some webpage where they close your ticket after every damn reply lol

the whole thing is dealt with in ~6 minutes.
**edit: some thought it might be from a private server (myself included) but its apparently legit: https://twitter.com/blizzardcs/status/308699561487114241?lang=en
Unfortunately it’s due to Covid. Most of their CS staff are now working from home which severely limits what they can due. Live chat for example, is primarily for billing or tech support issues.
If you want help finding the right ticket option for your issue, I’m happy to provide a link to the right support option if you want to give some insight into what issue you need assistance with.
I don’t think that’s real, I feel like that would be a huge no no for a Blizzard employee to post something like this.
who knows… its a youtube vid from 2013 the employee might not be an employee anymore
Live chat is only available for billing and (some) tech support issues. Not for in-game issues and never has been. But yes, during the hours it is open, it is available for those issues. Although there might be reduced hours due to Covid.
Not true. I spoke to a real human on the phone back in vanilla to get some lost items restored.
Can’t be real. Unless there’s only two people in that zone a GM talking in general would draw the attention of every one in that zone, people from Stormwind & people from the other nearby zones once word of mouth spreads.
Yeah I’m calling BS on that. Phone support was only ever for billing and tech support. While it’s true that people tried to call for everything (which resulted in long hold times for people that actually needed billing, and resulted in them shutting down inbound calls), they were not able to assist with non-billing/tech issues. You would get told to submit a ticket. The line was only staffed by billing and tech support agents.
This is definitely from a private server
that would make a whole lot of sense.
the blizzard tag and the gm outfit made it look legit but i assume private servers have all that too.
I mean, if it makes you feel better to ‘call bs’ on it, you do you boo, but it 100% happened. It was a frost wand from a desolace quest, which i needed at the time to do viscidus as an alliance warlock. ![]()
once upon a time, this game has CS that actually cared.
I remember seeing GM’s back in Vanilla in the game. On occasion, they would talk in general chat like you see in that video. It’s not something I saw happen a lot of course, but I did see it happen a couple times.
The video looks pretty legit to me. GM’s actually used to be active in the game years ago.
you people kept screenshotting your conversations with the people and putting them online
of course they’re done talking to you all
I got a live chat with a GM back in late legion due to a borked order hall thing that required the GM to mail me the quest item. Dunno about since then.
Imagine a paid service where customers are able to contact the service provider for live support for any reason.
Unicorns I tell you.
Why do people constantly need gms?
Small indie company
Probably because the game consistently has problems.
I’ve had to get a gm once in my years of playing. What problems are you constantly having that requires one?
