Because the Maw is hell.
It’s meant to be inconvienient at best, deadly at worst.
Plus tension dies when everyone’s lumbering around the “dangerous” zone on yaks and lamas.
No mounting in Maw until you get the zone mount or something like that.
You literally aren’t allowed to mount.

And not looking forward to that place. I played on beta and it’s the main reason I stopped playing it, The Maw was horrible and just would not go back and finish quests.
And you still can, just slower now. And more boring.

You can’t, especially with elite enemies since there isn’t a piece of gear to remove dazing like with mounts.
