Not angry. Just want an answer. Why no TBC or Wrath servers

Why dudes? I just don’t understand…I get that you want more people into retail. I enjoy retail quite a lot but sometimes I don’t wanna play the overdesigned retail. It’s nice to go to the old classic setting from time to time. Is this about not further dividing the community? Cause I’ll be frank with you it’s not going to. Listen to me these classic addicts all say the same thing when i tell I play both classic and retail and thats “ew”. They NEVER intend to play retail. EVER. I can’t even convince the friends I make there to make an alt and play with me in the simple content like delves. Same goes for people in retail they will play classic for all of an hour and HATE IT WITH A BURNING passion and tell me “Bro I missed my attacks for a consecutive 8 seconds. Not doing this.” But the point is people are not gonna play what they aren’t having fun with. Like the vanilla community is only here to in fact play vanilla and there is no changing their minds. So let them have their crappy little slice of azeroth their way and let people who want their slice of TBC and Wrath and enjoy it their way. But the problem is you’re like not giving those who want TBC and wrath servers the ONE thing they are asking for. We didn’t ask for Classic+ (SoD) Which let’s be real with boosted exp, high yield abilities and gear which decimate classic mobs in seconds is basically retail in a classic setting. We didn’t ask for fresh era servers to repeat the entire cycle of old WoW, we asked for seasonal servers for vanilla (And TBC and wrath) so that every now and then you can get a fresh start with everyone else and keep your toon you leveled and geared at the end. Yes I know that the original season of mastery failed but thats because it was released side by side with TBC and there was zero interest in redoing all of vanilla when a truckload of new and updated content was rereleased.

All this aside I am asking again as politely and calmly as I can as a long-time paying customer. Why are we not receiving the simple thing that many people have asked for over the last 5 years?

Nobody is going to read that.

Wall of text, but going by title instead.

They are making the new PVE and PVP realms The Burning Crusade.
It was on the announcement.
It is starting as fresh classic then going into TBC.

Wrath and TBC servers will be dead on arrival.

Because if they split the playerbase between too many games then no one will have anyone to play with

There’s already 5 different versions of WoW, if you consider HC and SoD separate from Era. They have a hard enough time balancing content releases as it is between Classic, Retail, and SoD in order to avoid any overlap. These new fresh servers that will now have to fit their own patches into that are just going to muddy it even more, and adding 2 more versions on top of all that is just going to break everything

The simple fact is that WoW will never have the 12 million players it did 14 years ago. Regardless of your opinion of the state of any version of the game now, it was simply a matter of the times. MMOs in general were wildly popular, with WoW being the de facto king of them all. Nowadays they’re significantly less popular, with the advent of “drop in drop out” games like League of Legends, Fortnite, Among Us, Lethal Company, MMOs in general are a relic of the past that us old fogies cling to that, while they will never truly die, they’ll never reach the heights of popularity that they saw in the mid-late 2000’s. And without a playerbase of that magnitude, there’s only so many different versions of the game that it can support before it collapses under its own weight because there simply aren’t enough players to hold it up, because despite what some people may have you think, the majority of people who would play “insert your favorite version of WoW here” are already playing another version of the game now. Bringing back a few thousand diehard fans of one specific expansion is a drop in the bucket when we’re considering numbers in the millions

Well I understood all this before I just didn’t want it to be true. Thank you for being like the first person to read a full post and give a full answer. I just really wanted to believe there is a better answer than that. Again thank you
