Not all Shamans should be wolves!

When vanilla first launched, it made sense every Shaman turn in to a wolf. There were only Orc, Tauren, and Troll. Orcs have an obvious connection to the wolves, and Tauren have quite a few wolf related quests too. Trolls not so much but its fine they turn into wolf life their breatheren.

Fastforward 2020, it really makes no sense for most shaman races. Draenei, Dark Iron, Kul’Tiran…what connection do they have to wolves?

Id like to see Kul’Tiran change into a crocodile, or something else. Dark irons maybe turn into core hounds or core wolves. Maybe Draenei turn into elekk? Vulpera into Alpaca?

Not all Shamans should be wolves!

You can glyph to turn into a ghost raptor / summon ghost raptors.

You’re right , some shamans should have TIGERS !

This is in my opinion the most prime candidate for showing that the Glyph system is such a waste with so much unused potential. It could’ve been great! Allowing optional, racial Ghost Wolf forms among many other ideas.

Yeah Im aware of that one and this is a good solution, just create more options!

Shamans have a wolf aesthetic. It’s part of the schtick. They’re meant to be both spiritual leaders for their peoples in addition to fierce combatants. It fits, like Paladins and hammers

In addition I dont think its particularly unfitting for Dwarves, Kul’Tirans etc. They might not share the same connection Orcs do with wolves but it’s not like it comes out of left field either. Canines are mans best friends. Dwarves love hunting through the snow covered wilderness. Etc.

I’d just like to see more customization period.

Ion has shown he has no interest in things that don’t increase “Time Played” metrics, including glyphs.

Give me a choice of my spirit animal form. Wolf, boar, dino, etc. I just want choice again.

Maybe if they implimented a timed quest line to create the glyphs where your character only has a certain amount of time to create the glyph, and the certain glyph would only be available like 1 week every three months. Like Glyph of Core Hound for this week, but once you start the quest you only have 45 minutes to get the reagents and craft it, and if you fail, next week it takes even more reagents and you can only craft the glyph at the end of a mythic+. But there is an RNG chance it will fail and instead of creating glyph of core hound it creates glyph of pink fluffy unicorn that forces you to be in that shape until weekly reset.

And if you fail three times, you lose flying and have to redo pathfinder, and A little emote of Ion punches you in the face.

Sounds like something Ion would like.

Take a shot everyone!

Also, now I only need one more forumism to fill up my Bingo card!

Agreed. I think each race should have their own spectral/ghost form of the following:
Orc - Dire Worg
Mag’har - Maned Wolf (current form)
Tauren - Plainstrider
Highmountain - Moose
Troll - Raptor (remove the glyph)
Zandalari - Ravasaur
Goblin - Hyena
Vulpera - Fox

Dwarf - Ram but with the SL update: https://i.imgur.com/niRxTg0.jpg
Dark Iron - Dark Iron Corehound
Draenei - Talbuk
Kul Tiran - Goat

Panda - Crane

WOW shaman are a combination of hunter tribal leader and elemental attuned warrior and the wolf is a call to the hunter tribal leader which I agree is more of a horde thing.

I think all shaman should have a choice of elemental infused animals as travel form or even a pure elemental travel form.

I would love vulpine form for my vulpera, like smaller version of that new fox model in shadowlands / store mount.

If we’re sticking with the ghostly aesthetic, lightning paw may be a better fit for Vulpera:

That works for Trolls only, there’s still like 5 races with no connections to either raptors or wolves.

And totems.

They should make those space goats have a goat instead of a wolf

makes sense for trolls… but thats pretty much it

I was just providing model examples, not skin

I would love a ghost dolphin for KT shaman

I wanna turn into a ghost Triarius!! Best form of them all!
