Hiya! I did the main storyline at the beginning of Shadowlands at launch, but now I’m back in the game on a new character… but suddenly all of the main characters have been saved out of the Maw without my help like before… It’s really confusing how everyone just got in Oribos and I feel like I missed some good story content. Is there any way to do those quests anyway?
Blizzard quietly removed that entire questline in 9.1.

Sorry. I don’t think any content should be removed from the game, certainly not story content.

Not anymore. As of 9.1, everyone was already rescued from Torghast. Blizz didn’t see a point in keeping the quest in game at that point

Oh, thank goodness. I’ve actually been dragging my feet on sending some alts to Torghast because I didn’t want to go through all that again.
They do it all the time… the Oribos setting has changed now that the expansion story has concluded.

I’m well aware of Blizzard’s habit of removing content from the game in order to pressure people to play while it’s current. I have spoken against it many times.
However, you can still change the Oribos skybox back to what it was before. You just need to buy an item.

Now that the story is over the skybox has reverted to that appearance.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a new kick Blizz is on. There’s a good chunk of BfA content that was cut while the expansion was still active. Then when Shadowlands came out, they changed it even more so that you no longer get the Heart of Azeroth at the beginning of the storyline.
