Not A Single High Population SoD Server

Yep and I would have stayed playing SoD (no I didn’t leave for cata - it’s not classic) if blizz didn’t design the game around super sweaters trying to get to end content asap. Blizz completely catered to this competitive style and left the lofi players who just want to enjoy the world, lore, fantasy and new content in the dust. I’ve also come to realise this truely is seasonal and will disappear and I’m not wasting my time on content that will be gone in a year. Blizz, stick your new FOMO style of content up your clacker.

Leveled in dungeons. But nobody does dungeons because incursions exists.

Eh, nah. I like incursions. The only problem with incursions is they highlight just how bad most of the Vanilla WoW content in this level bracket is.

Its pretty simple, SoD attempted to cater to the lowest common denominator and offered zero challenge. Sure a few folks enjoy rolling their face on a keyboard but you can’t sustain a health population that way.

Sod served its purpose, cataclysm waiting room.

Damn its almost like this is a TEST season lmao

With the amlunt of people on each server, if you didnt layer them, everyone would quit in a week. Every single farm spot, every quest area, every herb and mining node would have 50 people present fighting for tags 24h a day. Layers are a very good thing.

SoD 2 needs a PvP balance lead and to seriously look at keeping new runes they add in-line with classes base kits so you don’t have single runes overshadowing whole classes.

Good ideas, but they need to go full effort next time and give SoD 2 its own dedicated team and not have it be spread thin with progression realms too.

I just have zero urge to play Cata. Like, completely zero. My chances of playing the War Within are higher than my chances of playing Cata.

PvP needs treated like its own game entirely and kept separate from PvE

It’s a typical content phase drought that the game has had for 20 years. Not sure how people are forgetting this. If MC was out for a month people would be complaining about same thing.

Idk how big this effect actually is, but its the reason I have stopped logging in outside of raid. It killed the hype for me completely. The changes were made without thinking about any of the repercussions and hit my class the hardest (mage). Was logging in everyday pvp/gold farming when it wasn’t raid day. Now I am down to raid logging.

How is it worst than dailies?

Nows the time to make your ally characters while theres no faction lock

Next phase is gonna be huge, let the devs take their time and do it right. Join everyone else and go play something else, touch some grass, and worry less about what the population count is cause I find WO, raids, pvp queues fairly quickly anyday or time of the week. So we are fine…

Ill be playing both.

Sod was fun, but only because of runes adding more buttons to press, I had a somewhat decent damage rotation. Still, at the end of the day its still brain dead easy content and a toxic world buff/consume system that has you prepping 5x longer than you raid for.

SoD is dead, time to take a break for sure. Every phase is worse than the last.

Props to them for trying something new and all that and I appreciate the attempt at making a cool new classic wow experience

But the fact is that they objectively have done a very bad job at delivering on creating something that appeals to either classic or retail players.

On top of that they have come out and told us they intend things or have a certain vision for SoD only to do actually implement the opposite…

Then there’s the fact that none of the devs play WoW much, let alone ever step foot in pvp, so pvp players always get the shaft…

Simply put, they have totally botched this project already.

P4 will probably get some people to come back if it is reminiscent of WoW endgame enough but they will probably only raid log still tbh and I definitely don’t see a bright future for pvp in SoD ever happening period.

Good as it isn’t 20 years ago and people aren’t locked in their homes. If you don’t like SoD then go back to the dead classic vanilla servers.
