first time boosting a dk and leveling to 90
played as unholy
Was not fun in dungeons at all (damage is terrible)..

It is highly possible you do not grasp certain mechanics of the spec, being a new boosted first time DK.
But if you didn’t enjoy it regardless of numbers, it just isn’t a spec for you.
Try Frost, it is flashy and burst heavy.
Unholy is tuned very high.
Would be a miracle if they don’t get a ST nerf.
In aoe they are not the greatest right now but far from bad.
It sounds like you might be missing the the fundamentals of how to play it.
Wowhead has some great guides.
DK is a more mechanically intensive class then the other two plates. If you have never played DK before expect to not do damage. I main DK and I’m not touching unholy with a ten foot pole untill next season. I took me quite a while to figure out how to make the last iteration work and the completely changed the class. I’m mostly sticking to frost and blood as they haven’t changed game plans all that much (or really at all in frosts case if you were already playing shattering builds).
So you boosted a DK for the first time, meaning you had crap gear, and it’s not fun because you did low damage?
Did you play the class correctly? How does it feel to play? Or is doing big damage the only thing thats fun to you? Because I assure you that DK does big damage
The numbers are great. But, they do feel slower than Fury, and ret has better sounds imo.
That contributes to the overall aesthetic.
I’m honestly struggling wanting to play my 90 DK in lieu of warrior or paladin
Take a look, its in a book, reading rainbowwww. Really dont know why forums still have a hard time reading an entire sentence.
Also if its hard to grasp mechanics when reading a spec then its Blizzards fault, if you cant execute the mechanics then its your fault.
“i boosted a class i dont know anything about, using a plug and play spec and it was TERRIBLE damage and it wasnt fun”
