Northrend Adventuring Supplies

Blizzard did something awesome for everyone, gave us all this amazingly helpful reward that helps us quest and even had chances at mount drops and gems and all this cool stuff.

It was a lot of cool goodies and you needed to take 5 mins out of your grind to mail it to a bank alt or put it in your own bank, which of course upset a small few individuals who just could just not be bothered with such an inconvenience. Some alchemists felt that they were being cheated even though herbs are selling for sky high prices and flasks were never included in the supplies.

So of course a few complained and of course blizzard folded like a cheap suit.

Blizzard has giveth ye a gift and you know who made blizzard taketh away.

What are you talking about? They didn’t take it away. I’m already trying to make a post telling Blizzard to get rid of it because I’m still getting them from my quests. Unless you meant the dungeon only version. In which case that’s great.

Giving away free things in a game isn’t automatically a good thing. If blizzard gave everyone unlimited free level 80 boosts and 100k gold to every player everyone would be happy to receive it. But is that good for the long term health of the game? Absolutely not. And giving away free flasks and potions is ruinous to the economy for alchemists. They rightfully should feel cheated by this idiotic change that no one asked for

It’s people like you who think you know what’s best for the economy and overall gameplay as a whole for everyone. I, for one, had zero complaints. I absolutely loved the fact that you could get extra potions and stuff, its been a real help during the leveling process. However, to assume that the alchemists will be cheated is obsured. They are not affected one bit. The prices for herbs are still rolling high and alchemy in general pretty deep. So idk where your coming from with this… “It’s killing the game long-term” crap when it’s not. It’s people like YOU who are killing it.

It’s like the same with the people who think Dugeon Finder is a worthless tool. It killed immersion. No, on the contrare. It was the community who killed the immersion. coughs Mega-servers cough Needless to say, your point is merely a reflection of incompetent folks like you moaning and groaning about quality of life changes and then it getting the boot because you want it to suit your narrative. Shocker

If you have issues with the ones we get during the quests, then they might as well get rid of the ones we get in dungeons too. No easy mount for you, you little whinnie-pooh.

This goes to show most of the so-called WoW community is what’s killing the fun and immersion for the rest of us.

The new changes are always a problem. What a joke…

Yes they were. They still are even, just not as frequently

Having free trading goods (like potions, elixires, scroll) inyected in the server is not healthy for the realm economy…

Why the duck me as a holy priest who is tailor/enchanting have tons of tank/dps consumibles on stock?

Imagine having free enchanting scrolls on the boxes? Who is going to buy me enchanting?

Who is going to buy runic potions the rest of the entire xpac? NO ONE! Every single player have tons of them

It makes nonsence… It is NOT an incentive for player to roll as tank/healer…

As a healer: ARMOR PEN ELIXIR! I’m not even melee, can’t sell it cuz is worth nothing… Lost the value due to saturated ah… So the incentive is (a random item useless worth 20 silvers?)

Just give raw gold

It’s cause they nerfed them already lul

Yall complain about the smallest gimme gimmes. Everyone can’t live without free stuff

I get mana potions every bag I receive - I’m a Warrior… Do I complain because they’re useless to me? Nope, I give them to party members that can benefit from them (i.e. healers)

If you can’t benefit from an item, and it doesn’t sell for much on the Auction House, give it to party members, your guild, etc. It will make life a lot easier overall.

Of course it’s an incentive for people to roll tanks or healers - we’re receiving rewards for completing a dungeon/heroic as the role.

Giving raw gold instead of items would be 10x as bad - the market would see a massive increase in price because we’d have a huge portion of the community receiving extra gold from runs.

It’s equally as bad as pumping 9000 extra supplies in the game. They’ve been nerfed already and fine the way they are if anyone cries they’re not good enough well idk touch grass

U got me wrong… I’m not complaining about the items it self… I drop em on guild bank… But I’m not talking about ME…

The reason this boxes are here is literally to encourage players that can tabk/heal to do it,by earning something… My point is : giving intellect elixir to a warrior is not an incentive… Is generating an item that obviously will end up in the AH…

If the idea is incentive players to roll tank/healer, so give them something they will/can use (or block trade on items)

That’s why I say “just give gold” if this is his better idea… Just stop thinking and randomize 5-10 g…

Ps: I heal because I love it, I hate dps…

A couple lines up, you proved that this isn’t the case; some people may put their items up on the Auction House and others don’t - we give them to our guild, or our party.

However, receiving a Spell Power elixir as a Warrior… it’s still an incentive for two reasons:

  1. It’s a free item that I didn’t have prior
  2. I can sell or give it away to players (this part would make my life easier because it buffs DPS/Heals)

So, let me get this straight…

You say that items are useless (i.e. Spell Power elixirs on Warriors) and your solution is to make it so that we can’t trade them?

It’s not a better idea, though.

"ohh look if I go tank on my warrior I got loot? *queue as tank
" what? Spell haste elixir… Mamá pots… Well maybe I can sell them "
*opens AH
" what the fork? 15 silvers? Not even worth to trade this? "
*proceeds to change spec to dps and never touch a shield again

What an incentive…

The incentive is receiving a free item.

Some of the items we receive…

  • Critical Strike Rating
  • Strength
  • Attack Power
  • Hit Rating

ALL of these are beneficial to tanks.

Why is that hard to understand?

Alchemist sell this items… And u get the same item without being one, and end up gifting to guildies…

Guess who’s not going to craft said item ever again? Alchemysts…

Rune pots lost all value due to this… Someone used to craft em and sell em, now they just can’t…

So you’re changing things up.

Is it fair to alchemists that tanks and healers receive elixirs? (I can’t really speak to flasks because I haven’t seen them yet, and apparently the quantity/frequency has been nerfed)

Alchemists make potions, and yet, we’ve been finding potions off mobs for almost two decades, right?

The issue here is similar to above - these potions aren’t exclusively made by Alchemists. You can find them on enemies, and sell them or use them yourself.

I was tanking the other night for multiple dungeons and i was giving mana pots and intellect pots to casters/healers and they were giving me defense and strength pots. It made runs a tad quicker. As raids pick up these will be more valuable or switched out for flask, which as an alchemist i would be saving my herbs to make, and save them for progression weeks to sell. Healing/mana pots are not your money maker…flasks are.

As far as I know enchanting do not craft flasks

Call me crazy but I feel it obvious they were talking about Alchemists.

“crazy” =o

Have a nice night.

Come back when you have a legitimate argument.
