Normal guild behavior?

I’ve been raiding with this guild for a short amount of time, about 3 raid lockouts. At first I had the funds to keep up with the consumable requirements, but now I’m finding myself forced to buy tokens to fund it. I’m not really sure if this is normal guild behavior, especially since I talked to the guild leader about it and he said to “just figure it out”. Is anyone else forced to buy tokens to fund their consumables or is it just my guild? At this rate I don’t think I can financially support raiding with them.

What do you blow your gold on, or how many times are you wiping that raiding is expensive

What’s “normal?”

If you’re having to do that, it isn’t worth it, IMO. No reason at all to be having to buy and sell tokens to fund raiding.

You could make them yourself… and no my guild doesn’t force me, and supply them if we need them to push from progression to kill.

If i was to get back into dedicated raiding n the guild itself don’t supply stuff, i’d then have one of my alts do the gathering + crafting for my needed consumables, if the char in particular don’t have the required professions.

If I had to spend 30$ just to raid Id hit up one those “services” with the gold instead of being a cog in a guild. Just saying

There’s guilds that help with consumables, just gotta go look for them.

they should offer daily repair amount at all times and have people making cauldrons for flasks and combat pots when it comes to prog.
(and you shouldnt really need to be all buffed up for stuff on farm status, that would be on your own dime if you wanna be fully buffed for that, probably.)

raiding should be almost free in a decent guild.

its the “m+ all day every day” mentality that eats up the funds for me. realized i shouldnt really do more than i need for vault

Yeah, guilds don’t exist just to raid, they’re groups of people. Surely all professions can be covered by the guild, putting mats in the guild bank, someone takes them out to craft potions and flasks etc.

Some guild’s provide consumables but others don’t. My stance on it is that you should be buying your own consumables but it’s cool if guild’s themselves provide them as well. What difficulty of raiding is your guild running?

Yeah there’s different strategies to it for sure. Some have the players doing the crafting you’re talking about. Some sell the BOEs from raid to provide consumables. Some sell carry runs, etc.

Token sells for a lot, how are you going through that many consumables? Like maybe at season start with the over inflated prices but now things have dropped a lot.

How do you earn gold in game OP?

Hes most likey trolling its Ilililili

The better guilds I’ve been in had designated players with the needed profession to supply the raid team.

After the raid team had a boss on farm the crafters were brought in and loot funneled to them so they had good gear also.

The gatherers would contribute the needed herbs and ore, the fishermen would contribute the fish. Tailor, leather worker, JC to make gear, etc, etc…

What the raid team needed went into the guild bank to the appropriate tab.

One even had a designated AH player that took the unwanted gear and other stuff to the AH to make gold for raid team repairs.

Not all guilds are run the same.

Some are just groups of solo players trying to get the best they can for themselves

Some try to operate in such a way that everyone that contributes benefits.

Guess we just don’t see that much any more.

Work on cooking and take up alchemy. Cut your costs drastically.

Normal involves getting rid of partial and transitive dependencies.
