Hey guys,
Might be a dumb question… but I am new to the game so I don’t feel bad
Can I do horde quests as an alliance player? For example, I really want that “outlaw Sabre” sword, but it drops from a quest in Ashlen vale.
Thanks

No sir - unfortunately. Lucky for you, there is actually a data base that can outline the equivalent quests/rewards to faction specific quests.
You can only do quests that are Alliance or neutral, since the quest giver wont talk to you if they’re Horde.
Sometimes you get a faction equivalent on the other side, but I can’t see a sword around that level that would be it for the Outlaw Sabre.
You can always go to WoWhead Classic and look up rare weapons to find something else, though.
Anyone have any suggestions on what other swords to use? Right now I’m rocking the executioners leg from gnomergan, and cruel barb from deadmines. But, that cruel barb is kinda low level for me now. Can’t find any nice blues to replace it.
Thanks for the help!
Sadly, an alliance player cannot get horde specific quests. You can, however, run dungeons that are located in horde areas.
The specific quest you’re interested in has to be turned into a horde NPC. Sorry
There are some decent swords available as drops in dungeons and in questing areas like SV. Check out this list of weapons (you can set the filters) https:// classic. wowhead. com/weapons/side:1/type:7#items:50+3+18
From quest reward (from dungeon lv39) you can get Sword of Serenity and Vanquisher’s Sword with are excelente weapons for a long time. At 46 go for Thrash Blade and you are almost done.
Unfortunately there’s not a ton of rare quality swords around your level that aren’t random BoE drops(and thus rather low drop chances off several mobs).
As you get to high 30s you can get Sword of Serenity from In the Name of the Light for killing all of the final bosses in Scarlet Monastery. The quest chain starts in Desolace with Down the Scarlet Path.
Until then you might have to make do with greens.
the sword of serenity is more of a caster sword. (Stam and spirit) Doesn’t have rogue stats. And it’s a slow one so a good offhander at best
Spirit is good as a stat for everybody while leveling because of the regen it provides.
Also even if it had spell power weapon DPS > stats.
46-86 dmg are all stats the rogue need
