I’m just wondering about basic things like what to value most as far as mastery vs versatility. How important is critical strike? And what percentage of haste is necessary. I’m at 14% haste and I feel like I get through all my strong spells and then just have to sit there casting incinerate while everything charges back up. Seems like I could do more damage in the same amount of time if I swapped out my current setup of mainly haste/mastery gear for versatility/mastery.
current stats:
cs - 7%
h - 14%
m - 66%
v - 7%
Edit: My aim is m+
All three Lock specs favor haste to a degree. I’ve run all three specs on my lock at some point this tier and my haste was usually around 25%. Destro doesn’t “feel good” until you hit 28-30% but then you take a hit on crit and mastery.
I’m not a lock expert but you definitely need more crit and less mastery for destro. Vers is your lowest priority unless you’re a PVPer.

To be honest, stats matter less than they ever have for most classes. They’re usually extremely close.
That said, sites like method and icyveins are good places to start
Your current gear and talents/soulbinds gives the following stat priority:
Intellect
3.12
Critical Strike
1.33
Versatility
1.19
Mastery
1.14
Haste
1.13
- If you added 116 Intellect to your character, each point would add an average of 3.12 DPS (this does not guarantee that 1 Intellect = 3.12 DPS)
So, put a +8 intellect gem in your first socket and crit gems in the others. Consider getting crit enchants for your rings and maybe some extra scrolls for future upgrades. While you’re at it, your wrist could use a +15 or +10 intellect enchant, and your gloves and boots can get utility enchants.

Stat weights aren’t as reliable as simming an item to see if it’s an upgrade. For all three specs, the rough stat priority is:
Haste>Mastery>Crit>Versatility
