Is there a per server cap on the total number of toons for an account?
If so, is it split between alliance and horde?

Google tells me:
In World of Warcraft, the term ‘character’ is mainly used to refer to a player character, also known as an avatar or toon. The maximum number of characters per user account is 60 . Players used to have a limit to the amount of characters per realm but can now create their 60 characters all on one realm if they wish.

Very interesting, that is a huge change compared to what it was when I left wow 10yrs ago.

That’s the truth…
I’ve been back for 7mo and am still overwhelmed by those changes.
Soak it in, there’s no rush. There have actually been some nice changes recently
