I’m trying to understand what blade flurry provides, other than extension of Slice n Dice due to the Underhanded Upper Hand talent.
I know I must be missing something since Icy Veins and Wowhead both have it as a top priority spell to cast in the single target “rotation”.
Would love for someone to let me know what I’m missing. Thanks!
You said it - the slice and dice extension is why blade flurry is included.
Not sure why it’s at the top though.

Thanks so much. I’ve only been leveling, but now that you confirm that, I do see how it could be nice in raid pulls to use stealthed Adrenaline Rush as a pseudo premed with Blade Flurry covering SnD so you don’t have to spend those first globals getting the basics running.
That’s actually pretty cool!
If you look at the opener rotation it kinda of hints at the purpose, which as you mentioned is just a linchpin in underhanded upper hand to put all your buffs up. It has “top priority” essentially because you’re waiting until the very last second to reapply the buff. More logically speaking it has a very low priority, it’ll be sitting unused off cooldown a significant amount of time in ST.
Here is the opener. You would do all this essentially during the pull countdown, once combat starts your first global is Ambush.
Blade Flurry > Stealth > Roll the Bones > Adrenaline Rush > S&D > Ambush
Awesome, thanks so much Zurrain!
Its not really a priority in the rotation. You want to get bladeflurry up from the start but this can be done before you enter combat. Outlaw can prep RTB->bladeflurry->adren rush->slice n dice->stealth ideally 15 to 20 seconds before you pull encounter.
During your regular rotation, you wont need to refresh bladeflurry since adrenaline rush freeze its duration. Its a min max thing also to refresh bladeflurry only when adren is up and you let it fall off earlier. Or you can refresh it whenever its down even if you dont have adren up. the dif is small.
Usually in a no downtime scenario, if you play the rotation well you wont need to press bladeflurry eveb once in a st fight.
