Trying to get attuned to Naxx. My issue now I go to scholomance and toss my holy water then race to the other side and Im no where near the place I need to be before the buff wears off. The guide I have says that you have to kill everything on the east side on your way (bosses anyway) or it won’t work. My legs won’t physically run that fast. I tried pre-clearing and that didn’t work. If I pre-clear, I cant get into the other side of strat. Even if I leave, it pops me right back into the wrong side until I kill the final boss (rivendale or whatever his name is). Anyone want to clue me into what I’m doing wrong?
Once the timer starts you can work your way to the Dead side of strat. Kill bosses, disable the crystals, but don’t take time to loot anything.
Stuff that helps: Any speed-enhancing talents, specs, spells, gear, or food buffs. I found bear tartare really useful and used the item restore function to get back some speed+ gear I had vendored. On the third try I beat the timer with 7s to spare. This was on my paladin. I should have done it on this hunter (faster runner).

PS: you can also team up with friends to beat this. Once the timer starts break off and each of you clear the dead side bosses and ziggurats asap. It helps.

also use Aoe at the wall inside the ziggurats to speed up it
I did it in a group with a friend and we split it up. even then we were super close to the timer.
solo, I think you’ll need to use movement speed potions or something like that.

Great idea! Any short bursts of speed can power you through those porticulli before they close. The rats/bugs run around the instance looking for you.
Can confirm. I was on this slow pally here, and did it using a speed potion. I had the speed boost bear tartare stuff, but forgot to use it lol. I still got it done, with like… 8 seconds to spare? or something? idk
and its 30 secs time lost for it to reopen
I had to do this with a friend, it’s a lot easier. We decided to split up and he went left and I went right then we met back up once we were done. Make sure you’re going inside the shrine.
Yep, my friend and I did the same thing. Except we used speed potions.
Use a class you can spam the hell out of your aoe with. Hunter, prot pally, priest (holy nova). These are the ones im most familiar with.
Before starting the event, use a 3* Charged Phial of Alacrity. Its 746 speed I believe
- Kill everything live side.
- Do not start the event until you have a clear path to the dead side. But don’t agro anything over there until on the timer
- Start at the spider boss and everything inside
- Then back track (to avoid the the gate trap)
- Aoe kill everything in your path so they dont pursue you and slow you down.
- LOOT NOTHING!
- kill the aboms, Rammstein and then aoe the adds.
- Kill the guards in there with aoe
- kill baron rivendare
- and run to the gate the adds came from
- Stand in front of the ghost and click the action button
Then go back and loot once youve succeeded or failed.

for got some of part 7 one part when the mobs come from the gate run to the gate to stop the spread
This is the method I followed. Was on WoWhead I think? Or Reddit? idk
This, and also strafing, it will “catch” any of the skellies from trying to go to the open gate, and gather them into a semi circle around you. Super easy to aoe.
i did not back track i used the Potion of Gusts rank 3 to jump through the roach gate lol

Wowhead or I think Soul on youtube. The first time I got caught in the gate trap. And that was 20-30 seconds lost for nothing (although the Baron did bless me with his mount)

I always disliked those gates, both live and dead side, so I just did spider first, backtracked and booked it to the other zigs lol. 
i did not have the time to backtack did it on this guy lol
did the first 2 bosses and hit the trap
