Noob here looking for an easy class to main

so my friend and guildie said that warlocks arent so simple to play and now im looking for an easy class to main, im torn between rogue and arcane mage which one do you guys think its easier between these 2 in pve?

I think Rogue might be a bit more rotational, since a lot of Arcane (that I’ve noticed) is based on procs and push-your-luck burn phases.

Will you be playing meta builds or just whatever?

Assassin is pretty slow and easy but outlaw and sub can get a bit fast and have a lot of decisions (outlaw) or cd stacking (sub)

Honestly, I’d probably suggest sticking to the class that speaks to you and just putting in the time required to get better at it.

Likely easier than swapping to a whole new class with questionable enjoyment

I’d go mage for an easier time. I’d stick to the default of frost but you are more than welcome to do arcane.

I recommend rogue. Waiting for procs is annoying and mage is all about them procs.

Not sure whats so complicated about warlock that youd feel the need to leave it tbh

But out of the two options i would avoid mage.
If you want simple, you wont find it there out in the world. If you have a tank then sure. But theyre super squishy and you need to dance around with blinks and slows to not die.

im just looking for a simple enough class to play while on meds, and im a casual i only play usually after work so im tired and cant be bothered to think much, my friend said warlock was a bit hard so idk anything anymore

I would say DH havoc it’s still pretty much three buttons.

Maybe you’d prefer Frost Mage then.

Or Havoc DH.

NGL Destro Locks aren’t that hard to play successfully and they get a pet tank in the wold

here’s an easy to understand guide.

Edit : Ultimately 'maintain immolate, pop CD abilities, cast CB when your gonna shard cap, dont cast conflag if it caps your shards but try and aim them around CBs. and for AoE you just maintain immolate and drop havok on prio targets in tandem.

Destro lock is fairly easy to play. So if you still want to play lock just play destro. It’s my favorite spec for lock.

The thing with warlocks is that they have to take care of soul shards, destro especially.

Also the easiest spec in the game is BM hunter. So if you really want a casual spec that’s super easy to play go BM hunter.

Edit - I just swapped at 66 to guardian and I can plow through the world with like 4 buttons. It’s great! haha

Both of these aren’t the easiest of classes, but I’d go with arcane mage such as it’s the easiest one compared to rogue.
