When you’re in a group healing and the boss mob roots a group member. What classes can dispel the root? I’m new to the healing game an honestly don’t know.
Every healer can dispel magic debuffs.

Depends if the root is magical or not.
if it’s not the only thing that can dispel other people’s roots is pally via HOF. only certain class abilities can dispel themselves unless your a human.

i believe some roots are curse effects - as in Junkyard
druids can dispel curses in addition to magic 
druids can also remove roots by shapeshifting - so if you’re playing one and find yourself rooted, try to avoid using your dispel on it

Paladins and monks (with a talent) can dispel roots. If the root is a magic effect, all healers can dispel it.

Curse, disease, poison - varies per spec
Paladins get hand of freedom which dispels all roots
Mistweavers can take tigers lust which removes (all?) roots

Humans do not get out of roots. Gnomes do and trolls have decreased duration. Humans can break a stun. Druids all can shift out of roots too
As for the OP - All healers dispel magic which any intended dispellable ones I can think of fall under.
nah, the root the trogg shamans cast in Junkyard is a curse.
