Nonwhere is the downtime shown for realm status?

This is something the Blizzard desktop app used to show but no longer does. When the servers do go down there is NO PLACE AT ALL that shows how long they will be down for.

Places that do NOT show downtime just that the servers are down (replace " DOT " with a period for official link:
1.) The actual Realm status page:
worldofwarcraft DOT blizzard DOT com/en-us/game/status/us

2.) Blizzards ‘X’ account (kind of defeats the purpose of keeping the millions informed of the “status” of servers.
x DOT com/Blizzard_Ent

3.) The actual Blizzard Entertainment launcher. The ‘notifications’ bell icon is always empty around Realm downtime? How about pushing this “NOTIFICATION” to millions of players.

4.) Forums. Out of al the topics a DEDICATED forum for 'Realm Status" should be used. I mean 20 yeas no one thought of this? Really? ONE Realm Status forum post locked to only the moderators posting for any server could be done. Information, do you have it Blizzard?

This is now the 20th+ patch (minor and major) update that I have noticed shows no downtime for the amount of minutes or hours that the servers will be down. Does Blizzard care about informing millions of people or not when it brings the servers down?

Any chance of a blatant ‘error like message’ in the center of the screen within 5 minutes of the downtime in an opaque fashion WARNING players they are about to get ripped from combat/adventuring/delvs/raids/dungeons as they get extricated from the server? Too much to ask is it Blizzard? A message in your ‘chat’ ONLY if it even shows there is NOT acceptable. Some ppl have party of raid chat open and NOT 'General chat!

Today is Friday, not expecting to be ripped off the server but here we are. Why not let the players know? The fact that the servers are going down is NOT the problem the fact is that we are not warned it is going down for any patching/maintenance is the problem.

If this was a natural disaster to a data center I could easily understand this but this is now a habit and pattern of keeping the players at any moment just guessing. Even on regular Tuesdays this should be done as a beneficial service so players can plan around it. When multiple people are in a raid and they are ripped out on a day that is not standard you will have 40+ people going WTH? Seriously?

This is NOT outside of what Blizzard is capable of. DO BETTER!
This is not acceptable, please remedy this.

The status page only shows up or down, not that servers are not accepting logins, and has not been used for sometime.

Todays downtime was in the bnet app, noticed it this morning. Twitter and the support pages are updated with advanced notice, but sometimes emergencies can happen when the normal support posters are offline, that includes the social media team. They are not online around the clock, even if the server team is.

But yes, notice of the restarts were posted on the launcher this morning.

Imgur

How do I post a screenshot of what our launchers are not showing versus what your launcher is showing?

Because there was no notifications and our launchers are consistently not showing any. I get my posts removed because I am sending a link to IMGUR site but I have no idea how to do it now even in the support section. What is the procedure here?

The bar over the post window allows links to official sites but they can not be used because the messages says no links can be in a post. Which is real dichotomy. If images are not allowed then why is the ability to post links given as a choice via the "link’ icon at the top?

The ability to just post a screenshot (via copy and paste) of the UI or launcher or desktop of the game screen used to work and now that has been removed now. So what is the next step here?

Even reposting your post which has a link (notice above I replaced your link with “…”) gives the error message no links can be posted. So basically a player is being kneecapped by not even being allowed to ‘REPLY’ to the post if that post has a link which we did not include but you did.

Are you guys seeing a problem here?

Posting images is a privilege earned by being active in the forums.

For a workaround, put the image into an image-hosting service like Imgur and then put the url of the image into your message surrounded by backtick characters:

www.google.com

It won’t be a live link, but it will be accepted in the message and copy/paste friendly to be used in a browser tab or page.

I’ve seen others post they don’t get this on the launcher also, but I guess I get the alerts, not sure why you didn’t. They were on the wow retail tab, so if you have a different tab selected that maybe why, this wasn’t showing under classic.
