Non-warbound Undercoin has parked my alts

I’m more then willing to play a character doing things I find fun - like delves, for example. I’m not willing to waste my life on mindless busy work with zero challenge that I have no interest in. Being able to funnel a couple of keys per week to alts was a handy work around, but too bad.

And? I’m in no rush to gear. More than zero that we have now.

You choosing to not buy them doesn’t make them unavailable. You are making the conscious decision to not run delves or buy the keys.

I guess I’ll type slower.

I can buy keys on my main, but I don’t need any Champion gear on him, so there’s no reason to do that. I can’t transfer his excess coins to alts anymore, so they have to slowly earn their own coins for keys while his accumulate and rot.

It’s not the end of the world, but I don’t see what the problem was with letting me get a couple of keys per week for alts. Making me do busy work makes me less likely to keep playing.

i dont even see why they’re stingy with undercoins. there’s not really anything useful to buy with them by the time you’ve maxxed out your season journey anyway

with a little lfr and working my alts up to tier8 delves casually they’re all in 630+ gear now in just a month

i guess they can afford like 1 wave scrambler a month at the rate i go, for like 1 extra crap trinket i’ll vendor :woman_shrugging:

Champion track gear tends to be pretty solid. It’s also the line they draw with exchanging gear, since you can’t send conquest gear boxes until the mid-season updates.

Why? That’s tier transmog.

Considering 90% of the “gear” I see is trinkets, including in the Vault… that’s not necessarily true.

What coins?

Do four weeklies, get four keys.

If you want a lobby game, M+ is there for you. Delves are part of world content. So do the world content.

i thought the account gear from the vendor was veteran

Coffer keys were toon specific in S1 also. The “change” in S2 was making undercoins toon specific also. I only used them in S1 for the goodie bags so it doesn’t matter as much to me, but I agree with others that it is a big nerf. :speak_no_evil::see_no_evil::hear_no_evil:

Incorrect. Coffer Keys were account wide in season 1. We had access to buy three per account. Now we have access to buy two per character.

Incorrect. Buying Coffer Keys was account wide in season 1. We had access to buy three per account. Now we have access to buy two per character. And it’s not a nerf. It’s a gain. I can now buy keys on every one of my alts every week.

One alt saves up to buy one thing, another alt saves up to buy another thing.

If you have excess undercoin, you can purchase the reagent bags and sell the mats on the ah. I did that last season with my hunter and made over 100K. Prices have dropped alot but still a good use for excess coin.

The key word in what I mentioned there was “need”. Transmog (while awesome) is not a need.

Now if you just want shots at Transmogs, that’s something that I could see using extra keys on… but then getting extra Transmogs would not be a good reason on Blizzard’s part to limit the keys (which kind of goes back to how weird the currency limit is).

As to 90% of your drops being trinkets… from there, continuing to try for more gear seems like it might be entering that “definition of insanity” territory. So it seems to lessen the value of the extra keys further in my eyes.

Except you said “If you’ve run enough Delves to get access to the extra keys…”

That isn’t difficult to do and doesn’t take long to do. Especially with alts. So claiming there’s no “need” is still wrong. For many reasons.

And sorry, but I do “need” my transmog. :stuck_out_tongue:

You seem to not comprehend that this is our end game. Maybe try doing that. And comprehending that there is no gear without keys. I’ve got alts still in season 1 pieces because gear won’t drop from the world boss, Delves, or Vault.

The value of keys in your eyes is irrelevant. The value of keys for others is what’s relevant.

This is my endgame too. At no point did I suggest otherwise. Solo delves, questing, and professions are the things that I do almost exclusively.

I currently have two characters (this is not one of them) tearing up the delves. They started out geared in 619 gear with a couple of pieces higher that bumped them up to around 622. They were geared kind of similar to this character when they started.

I used a couple of the reputation-granted keys during the first week and realized that there was not much point in them since I could comfortably run 7s right off the bat. I moved up from there without bothering with more keys.

And the value of keys in my eyes is every bit as relevant as yours… so that was just an odd thing to say.

And yet somehow you don’t understand that it wasn’t difficult to unlock extra keys and somehow are under the impression that alts magically have 21 pieces of Champ gear after three weeks.

And there it is…

You’re not running Delves as your end game— you’re running M+. So your view is entirely different from ours.

No it isn’t. You’ve now claimed two false things and now I know why: you run M+.

By “7s” I meant level 7 delves, so I used the wrong term. I have never been in a Mythic+ or Mythic 0 dungeon on any character ever. (And it’s unlikely that I ever will).

That said, might I suggest backing down on the hostility a bit? It was a simple error in terminology.

And yes, I know how long it takes to level up for the keys… which is exactly how I know of their very limited use.

I run delves… lots of them. It’s my endgame. My opinion on this is just as valid as yours. I have made no false claims.

Undercoin needs to be warband bound. I think it was on the EU forums, they said it was unintended for them to be soulbound and they were working on it. BUT it’s not how it is. They need to put it back the way it was, transmog is annoying to get with 5k price and having to do it all on one toon.

There is nothing hostile in anything I said. Blunt? Yes. Hostile? There’s nothing to be even remotely emotional about to even become hostile.

It gets confusing at times, I get it. Most of us see just a number and think M+. Miscommunications happen, it’s all good.

As do I. But claiming people are getting 21 pieces of gear and keys are irrelevant after those few weeks is vastly incorrect.

Weird take, I have 8 alts doing just wqs n 11 delves they all have over 2k coins to buy the 2 extra keys. My main hovers around 6-8k to buy anything else I need for my alts like scramblers or the like that are all warbound.
