So on my server there is one lvl 50 alliance gnome warlock who goes to the hillsbrad fields (the horde hot spot in hillsbrad foothills) and kills low levels over and over for HOURS. He wears no gear at all and just runs around dotting up every low level horde that he sees.
This gnome is kind of infamous. Many horde who have quested or grinded in hillsbrad know his name and there are usually always one or two horde level 60’s who camp his corpse (many of them brought their level 60 to hillsbrad after this gnome killed their low level character).
The problem is that he doesn’t stop even when being camped. This guy will be killed and then will resurrect and try and kill any low level horde he sees as fast as he can before he gets killed again. And it goes on and on for HOURS. This one guy has effectively shut down the hills brad fields which is a popular mage aoe-ing spot of low level horde. The only thing containing him is a level 60 or higher level player. When there aren’t any around he slaughters all horde and it becomes a massacre where we cant do anything.
This guy clearly has some kind of mental issues or something that he continues on like this for hours at a time. Its like hes not phased at all about being camped he just is incredibly dedicated to killing any low level he can. Wtf. So my question is is this bannable? Because this is rediculous.

I think it has to go on for quite a long time to be considered disrupting the zone. Doubt anything can be done about it.
I once camped redridge during wotlk on my rogue for an entire summer, like 3 months or so every single day after work. But even then I would only devote about an hour to doing so each day. Sounds like this guy has a lot more devotion to the art of ganking than most of us will ever have.

Sorry, I don’t see a problem.

Nothing will be done about it if it’s a pvp server.

Now this is commitment to PvP!
Though, I’m very sorry mages can’t AoE grind in peace. So very, very sorry.

I remember seeing a post quite a long time ago saying that tanking low level players is allowed, but eventually (like multiple days long) blizz might step in. It might have had to do with killing quest givers rather than actual pvp, but I do remember it. It’s been actual years since I read the post, so I can’t remember the specifics.
Not on a pvp server. They only do something if it’s avoiding game mechanics, like the guards in Gadgetzan.

What a great player! Good for him for continuing on his quest to slay all
Horde.

The post was regarding a pvp server, but it was for retail servers somewhere during the WoD era, maybe it is different for classic.

As long as there’s a pvp solution to your problem, they won’t do anything
“if violence doesn’t solve all your problems, then you’re not using enough of it”
I would say to MC him and run him over to attack the Tarren Mill guards, but if he’s wearing no gear it won’t do much
Once honor system comes out no one will be able to exp in hillsbrad anyway. This is just a little taste of what’s coming

I remember a story of a dwarf who went to war with the Argent Dawn. He continuously cleared out Light’s Hope. A blue responded to the post about him with something along the line of, ‘there’s a PvP solution to this problem, so we’re not taking any action.’
So, no, I think the fields are permanently tainted and you’re going to have to have shifts of 60s guarding your lowbies.
