So, the other day I completed the four mythics required for the
Keep in mind, that I am a Holy Paladin. I heal. That’s what I do. And the devs want healers to focus on healing, instead of pewpew, right? Right.
The reward from completing the quest turned out to be:
As you can see, this is a caster dps trinket. This is not a healing trinket (at least, not according to the verbiage on the item). So, this should not have been on the loot table, for me to receive as a Holy Paladin.
It also looks like someone else has posted something similar to this issue:
Now, I still have this useless item in my bags. It would be great if y’all could wave a wand, and poof replace it with a healing trinket, or any relevant item I could actually use (but I am not going to hold my breath lol), since this was not a player generated error.
Either way, the dps caster trinket shouldn’t be going to healers.
This happened to both my friend and I earlier today. We’re both healers, and we both got the DPS trinket from the weekly. I have no idea why this trinket is included in the loot table for healers to receive.
Quite annoying, since this quest only comes around so often, and its reward can make a big difference at this early stage of the expansion. I suppose, for a paladin, it’s even more annoying since you can’t even use the trinket for an off-spec. My condolences.
also getting dps trinkets on my healer. i understand grps expect healers to dps, but i can swap to dps loot spec if i want dps trinkets. not a fan of them taking up slots in my vault either, which has already happened.
In this case, it is entirely an in-game issue, aye? Like… the Blizz devs themselves want healers to focus on healing, but then healers get a dps trinket from the DF dungeon reward. (Which, I messed up the title of this thread, but eh).
completely is. pushing dps trinkets on healers that don’t want them (or don’t want them yet) is frustrating and does indeed go against the current “healers should heal” statement the devs just gave.
Hopefully this gets some eyes on this, and they can implement something before the next event.
Like you said though, it really sucks to have this happen so early in the expansion. The difference between a 372 item versus a 402 ilevel item is pretty significant.
