I used to use epics for the daily CQ win and honor in general, I pretty much queue a handful a week until I hit a premade, which is generally the first game and then stop for the week

I just want to point out that I put the panda on ignore, and I haven’t seen him since that day – just saying
- Break the addons.
- Cross Faction Randoms (not just grouping.)
- Implement Deserter for people who miss/drop queues.
I just solved the premade problem… without touching the PvP gearing.

The honor level flex made me giggle. But with the bulk of your PvP being epics its expected. Pretty sure I saw you in AV on your Evoker like an hour ago, when the premade camped the choke and then camped the GY while avoiding pushing SP for 20 minutes.
It wasn’t really a flex - It was an example of somebody who does a lot of Random BGs/Epics, but still doesn’t believe the premade issue is as big as some of you make it out to be.
It’s an annoyance… but it’s minimal.
Some days are worse than others… some days - I see very few premade groups.
Shadowlands PvP gearing made it very difficult for casual players to fully conquest gear… due to it’s rating restrictions behind upgrading conquest gear… yet, premade groups were still active.
The ability to fully gear in PvP is the casual players only defense right now.
No one should be supporting this idea… and it’s never happening, anyway.

No, not really. The expansions you named didnt even have the same systems. Wrath had arena points and rating locks. Cata only locked t2 weapons but everything else could be earned by anyone, and yes, unrated PvP gave conquest points. Unrated PvP gave conquest points in all expansions that had conquest points, only TBC and Wrath required arena for arena points instead.
Tbh I dont think you actually PvPed then or really any time before SL.

Dragonflight/TWW PvP gearing is basically a rehash of WoD PvP gearing.
It was only removed because Ion was feeling pressured by the rated community to try increasing participation. WoD actually had a somewhat enjoyable PvP experience. PvP really started to die once Ion’s outdated ‘‘carrot on a stick’’ gearing was re-implemented. It failed, and it failed hard.
Once the rated PvPers realized that not even the best gear could increase the cesspool known as rated PvP - even they started begging for the WoD system to be brought back.
Ion finally caved - and now… we have the best PvP gearing we’ll ever see. Any person - whether they click, backpeddle, do rated, or casual… can get the best PvP gear the game has to offer.
Shadowlands had the most difficult/complicated PvP gearing system… with rating requirements locking 8-9 upgrades - leaving casuals dead in the water… and premade groups still were not deterred.
The premade problem can be fixed… without touching what’s right about the game.
