I’ve noticed loads of people while I’m mining something will run up to the node then mine the last part and it disappears. i tried /spit but i guess its fixed here as well cuz all it does is say i spit on the ground. so /rude is a fun one.
how do you guys deal with it? fight them? tell em off?
I let them tap it as all we want is the skill points in the professions.

I just deal with it. It’s always going to happen.
It’s not like with skinning how I can chose not to loot the beast and make them want to go away.
How do I fight me? Do I shadow box in a mirror?
When someone tries to steal a node I am currently stealing, I hold shift to prevent auto loot and wait them out, or wait long enough to bait them into thinking I won’t loot and retap the vein.
There is only one solution.

I could tell you how to prevent people from mining a node you’re working on, but it’s funnier thinking about you raging.
Didn’t know you could do that. I’ll have to play ball with that one.
My favorites are the rogues/druids or random player who clearly sees me next to a node fighting a mob and they roll up to snag it as I’m stuck in combat.
I’ll never get used to it, but I’ve gotten to a point where a simple /rude is sufficient for me before I move on.
I used to be a whole lot more … expressive.

If I am cognizant of someone looking to snipe a node I will shift tap it so I stay in the loot window. Otherwise it just comes with the territory, not a lot you can really do about it.
I started not auto looting on nodes / herbs. When someone runs up to try stealing it, the loot window is open and they can not take it. Eventually they will move on.
Turn off Auto Loot when mining. They can’t steal the node if you haven’t collected the ore from it
This is the real answer. The amount of times I issue a mak’gora on a daily basis is wild.
No, if they’re actively tapping on it for the ore, leave it alone
There really should be a ‘Shame’ debuff for declining a Mak’Gora.
There’s public shaming on /1 in the meantime.

do shift+right click when you mine, it auto loots the stuff and allows you to mine again near instantly. usually prevents anyone else from getting in on it
