Then why is everyone playing on cable/fiber internet with 300+ fps on ultra? you can’t have it both ways
Don’t play then troll.
Great way to start out 2020, you’ve really set the bar very high for dumbest post on the forums already. This one is going to be hard to beat.
Another one of those “it’s already broken, so might as well break it all the way!” posts. Sound logic.
You convinced me!
Let’s do massive untested changes because a fractional minority aren’t happy! What can go wrong? Just look at Retail, it’s been thriving for a decade thanks to all the massive changes they did!
Oh look a zero post gnome from yesterday with a different avatar.
Nobody who supports #nochanges has ever said that it means “playing Classic in 2019 is identical to playing WoW in 2005”. That’s not what it ever meant. So people who argue against that meaning are throwing words at a wall: arguing with a ghost.
“#nochanges” means that Classic will not be changed for the purpose of “making it a better game”.
Classic is a copy of 2005 WoW. That is what Blizzard promised. Not a “better game than 2005 WoW”, but a COPY of 2005 WoW. Is it a perfect copy? Of course not. But it tries to be. Its goal is copying 2005, NOT being “the best game we can make in 2019”.
So the many posts that say “this change would be good” don’t count.
Sorry.
I’ll dig out my old AOL disk and my 56K modem.
AOL is still a thing, right?
Know what, it actually is still around! Out curiosity I typed aol dot com into my address bar and it came up. Different from the original AOL of course but looks like the name is still being used.
lol lemme get my cancer causing box out of the closet, my mac quatra, and dsl from 2004 loaded up…
The main issue with no changes is that it assumes game rules are independent of player behavior. I am willing to bet 50 copper that had AV been played the way it is today back in 2006, the original devs would make some changes to it so they make it less braindead. Also, some modern “exploits” would have been patched out. For example, DM E lasher farming used to be way more lucrative so Blizz nerfed it.
That said, the modern devs are not the original devs, and I understand why there is resistance to letting Ion have a say about any game mechanics in classic.
Two things about your comment: the lashers were nerfed during vanilla if you dig through comments on Wowhead and other sites. Second I don’t think the problem with the AV zerg is the patch version, the problem is due to cross server battlegrounds. I firmly believe that even if we had the original version of AV with cross realm battlegrounds we would still see the same exact behavior except the games may take a few minutes longer and there would be a heck of a lot more fighting in chap about summoning the big guys.
That’s exactly what I was describing. Devs are known to have patched exploits out back in Vanilla. Some new exploits have been found in Classic, and it would be in the spirit of Vanilla to patch them out.
The problem is that AV zerg gives better honor than WSG before AB is out. I am certain Vanilla devs would’ve tweaked the bonus honor values.
Yeah good points.
Yeah I pay for it monthly no way I’ll pay that 80 dollar cable sillyness. Been paying 15 a month for 25plus years. Awesome they dont raise it and take advantage of us.
I am not.
