Decided to play on casual mode this expansion for that reason i missed out the phase 1 raids, went back to game and focused on full playing on phase 3 with firelands, a thing i wanted for fun and exploration is to play the phase 1 raids, (BWD, BOT and throne of the four winds) but i figured out no one wants to do those raids anymore, not even in 10 man, because of the the inferno dungeons when people can get 10 and 25 man loot, plus the low population in Benediction, i remember in Vanilla and TBC we run MC and Karazhan until the last phase of expansiĂłn, but i think this will not the case. Thats my opinion it feels very unfun to have to miss out content and feeling blizz decisions contributed to make it worst this situation
that is because blizz added the catch up dungeon trash which made them not needed anymore plus people have been running for 6months now!!!
sounds like they need random group finder for raids to make it easier for people like you. maybe they coul djust implement it for previous phases content so as to not affect current content, just an idea
no LFR is not needed nor wanted in cata If blizz had just made the phases faster 3-4 months is perfect for Cata.
What did you do for 5months? play 1 hour per month?
im not talking about LFR as a difficulty tier, i purely mean a better system to find party members, much like random heroic dungeon, but for older content. i cant understand the reliance on spamming trade and LFG on your own server when there are players on other servers or battlegroups also looking. or addons like bulletin board. its so dated.
Lol do you even know what your talking about?
You want a random group finder for past phase raid content but dont want LFR? That is exactly what you are asking for!!
LFR isn’t just a random group finder. it was a 3rd/4th difficulty tier, with a subset of gear rwards and ilvl, which led to things like forcing people to do it for chances warforges and titanforges, also led to stat creep and needing stat squishes every other expac. and it was problmatic for current content.
so no, it isnt exactly what im suggesting as a solution to OP’s problem that im sure many others that dont doomsay on the forums are facing.
Just do protocols and get fragments like the rest of us.
What a stupid response… The guy is talking about wanting the content not the loot.
Then he’ll enjoy trying to make a group, won’t he. Wondering why no one’s doing BwD, BoT and Tot4W when Firelands has only been out for a week.
Like, can we be less serious about this decade-old game and just find ways to have fun for all players?
The unfortunate fact here is that Blizz is spreading the player base too thin. They don’t care whether Classic communities and server populations are tenable for the long term. They just want to cater to the speed-gamer who gets bored with an entire phase worth of content 18 minutes after it’s released. For example, not even a month after Firelands came out in Cata, they’re launching a new round of Era servers. Just like SoD came out with a new patch almost immediately after Cata was first released. So if you get an overwhelming number of responses from people who can’t comprehend any other play style or set of life priorities, it’s because they’re the current target market for Classic.
And also that’s why there are so few ppl who are still doing early-Cata raids.
All while they continue to ignore cata but the players think mop is going to be different
No, Blizzard is just ignoring you, there is a difference.
Puh-leeze. “You” didn’t run the p1 raids because “you” wanted to be casual and now “you” can’t find anyone to run them with and “you” missed out. Hate to break it to “you” but this game isn’t solo player. Six months to run those instances; play retail and burn through them.
And that’s why those iterations of wow in 2019 was much better than the Frankenstein monster we have now and call it cata
This is why they should have added all the loot from P1 to the fragment vendor.
Yeah because there wasn’t the catch-up mechanics loot from vendors for doing dungeons. People actually ran the raids on their alts because they needed the gear from there to prog into the next tier of content. This is why the catch-up mechanics are so bad for the game it ruins the replay value to cater to the lazy/casuals who will just quit again in 2 weeks then return when the next phase launches.
