Regular gladiator sets from season 1, 2 and 3 of BFA are no longer available.
This was never the case before as we could always buy the sets with marks of honor but not in BFA and we have no info of if they will ever come back.
edit : I’m not talking about Warfront sets. Gladiator sets are different colors that are no longer available. The gear you get by doing BGs.

They will probably be added to a vendor at a later date. It’s alpha, they have many more important things to worry about. And if they don’t, well, you’ve probably got eight months or so to obtain them. Chop chop…

They were all ugly and hideous anyways, only warfront tier 3 gear matter in terms of “pvp gear”
As far as I know, the only thing that will be unobtainable will be the elite sets, like usual. The warfront ones might not make it because I don’t know if they are closing it for good, or if you’ll be stuck in huge long queues trying to get one going since it will be old world content.
Wonder if this will be on one of the vendors in SL.

They will add it in eventually… They probably don’t want to confuse people again with 300000 vendors with gear where people were accidentally buying the wrong seasons of gear.
Who knows if they will add them. I recall them saying they’d add the seasonal vicious mounts to the saddle vendor after BFA is over, but I can’t remember if they mentioned the sets too. Very odd to remove the non-elite sets (especially the aspirant ones from random BGs). Doesn’t really make any sense.
Bad logic. They add PvP transmog as ensembles now. That’s what they did in Legion. The previous seasons ensemble was added when the new sets were released.

Yes, and you could also buy each real piece of gear too. It was super confusing for most players and that’s why the removed the pvp vendors. They have even said this in tons of interviews.
They will just add the ensembles that they already have for old content. You spend like 15 marks for the whole set.

This has been a frustration of mine all expansion. They bragged about how no tier sets would allow them to make much more gear variety in terms of Xmog, but that didn’t happen, and not only that, but they made some of those sets insanely hard to get via RNG. The S1 aspirant set, for instance, was ridiculous to try and complete. I had a friend run well over 200 random BGs just trying to get the shoulders, to no avail. And then they removed those sets completely, without having labelled them as ‘limited time’ like they did the elite sets.
We’ve been able to buy the sets of a prior season since around mid MoP, and yet for some reason they decided to change it this expansion without saying anything on the matter. I really do hope they add the ensembles in pre-patch, or something, because otherwise it means that nearly half of all the armor and weapons they made for BfA will be unavailable and gone forever.
Also, I don’t buy the whole “confusing for new players” BS, in all honesty. You had big numbers showing ilvl as far back as WoD, and higher ilvl numbers have always meant better. Making the work of their art team harder to get for the vast majority of players because a few newbies bought the wrong one isn’t… logical at all.
You were never able to directly buy Legion PvP gear aside from RNG pieces of current season gear that was purchased with currency earned from disassembling current season gear.
They also only added ensembles during Legion. While they are also on pre-Legion vendors with the actual gear, there is no indication they couldn’t do what they already did in the previous expansion that also did not have PvP vendors. It’s bizarre that they didn’t.
Since the beginning actually. Since s2 the previous seasons gear became the non-rated set. Lasted all the way through WoD where WoD s3’s honor set was the WoD s2 gladiator set. Legion didn’t have vendors but they still added ensembles for previous season gear after a while.
We are hoping that they come back as ensembles but yeah it’s unfortunate I actually love the season 1 bg set.
