The people on the forums here will flag anything they don’t agree with. I’ve seen them report things over and over and on multiple accounts.
Blizzard rewards them for abusing the report button. I’ve never seen an account actioned for false flagging too many posts. It’s a system designed to incentivize abuse.

It’s the attempt to get every game to become “seasonal”
Call of duty
Diablo
WOW
Hearthstone
Overwatch 2
Fortnite
NBA 2k
FIFA
MTG arena
Etc etc
All the main stream popular corporate games try to get you on a battle pass esque seasonal system with as many money spending opportunities as possible.
In wow it’s more your time because you aren’t buying a battle pass and 15$ isn’t a lot, but it’s designed to keep you subscribed and not let you win. Because if you win you play other games and poor blizzard doesn’t get paid. There is a monetary incentive for you to never be fully geared for long.
The craziest part of it all is no one sees an issue with this and keeps giving these people money for all kinds of systems designed to keep you on the treadmill

you nailed it right on the head my friend. so much that I’m gonna SS it for future use. It’s crazy how blinded people are and want to be in the forever hamster wheel of gear. I can’t do it anymore, not after almost 20 years.
If you haven’t cancelled your sub yet I would advise to, I’m only here/be able to respond until Dec 9th, I hope you follow soon after, and maybe you can help open up more peoples eyes as well!

I mean if you dont like it then feel free to unsub. I have no doubts plenty of people do. But the majority actually don’t really care one way or the other. Its an odd thing to politic over though. People will do what they want and I doubt of the sliver of people that even look on these forums even a sliver of those will be swayed.
Its just a game… continue if you like if you dont find something else to do. Its easier on everyone that way. Even you.

Personally, I’m here to play through all expansions.
I’m hoping for WoW (Retail) to end at some point and Classic will keep going until that end.
Or Slands can be the cut off. Though I actually really enjoyed PVE in Slands despite all negative feedback, I thought it was a decent expansion content wise. Too many system restrictions and with Classic, all 9.2.5 QOL features can be ingame from day 1 and it will be A MUCH BETTER experience.

I guess some people play the game for the gear. I play the game if it’s fun. Whatever gear I get is just a perk. I didn’t care when I got a whole new set of gear in BC and I didn’t care when I got rid of it all in wrath when I got another new set of gear. As long as I’m having fun none of the crp you’re talking about means anything to me. And when it’s no longer fun I’ll just switch to game that’s fun for me.

Its also not like… they have done the gear treadmill since literally the launch of WoW.
- What do you do at level 20? You get gear
- What do you do at level 40? You get gear.
- What do you do at level 55? You get gear.
- What do you do in MC? You get gear.
- What do you do in AQ? You get gear.
- What do you do in SSC? You get gear.
- What do you do in BT? You get gear.
- What do you do in Ulduar? You get gear.
- What do you do in ICC? You get gear.
Getting gear and doing new content is part of the initial design of WoW. It is WoW. So what is the difference now with Cata? None. You simply hate it and you have no arguments against it.

Era servers for TBC and Wrath are a few years away if you got that kind of patience. Eventually they’ll run out of expacs to clone, yall will get tired of paying for gold, boosts and mounts again and they’ll have to come to a decision as to what to do like, start over.
In the restart the cash shop will still be there and maybe we can accrue servers and clones for the big trilogy if we are on our best behavior and ask nicely.

If you are this salty about it, then it is definitely time for you to leave and there’s nothing that anybody can say or do that will help you. That is a personal struggle that you need to get over. And if you don’t want to get over it, then that’s your problem. Not blizzards or anyone else’s.

no problem here at all bud, in fact my problem is already solved because I’m unsubbed and me and my undying title and 20 years of WoW experience are gone for good on Dec 9th.
I touch more grass with my wife and family every day than you do I’m sure.

I was full BIS in Wrath, in 2008 - 2010 when I played OG wrath. I didnt say I was raiding in Wrath classic, it’s trash compared to OG wrath.
