I wonder if Blizzard knows that Wrath has historically been one of the two most popular versions of WoW for pservers. You’d think they could put up 1 pve and 1 pvp server for Wrath Era, connect them for raids/dungeons/BGs, and milk those people for WoW tokens.
For some reason, those people exist, and its obvious if you see the many successful years of Warmane. People have been running the same couple raids there for 8 years.

Imagine going to Reddit.com and saying “Wow, what a great and hilarious meme, I’m going to share it with other people.”
Couldn’t be me.
I don’t think they’re going to lose as many subs as yall think they’re going to be too busy working with classic to even bother keeping up wrath servers just for yall to want fresh start servers constantly and for those servers to drop off too. There’s a majority of players who are ok and happy with the move to cata and the rest will drop back to classic. There was a massive outcry for tbc and that didn’t happen wrath will be the same.

This seems bit odd.
I play on pagle, 4 icc raid guilds. In all guilds combined maybe 20 people say they want it. other 300+ are disappointed and feel forced to move on again.
Most are excited for SoD and if they can’t keep wrath. Hope that SoD is ok. if not they (the Majority) will go back to era or quit again.
Cata will be dead LFR logging in a month. Plus side MoP might come out in at least a year. It should bring some players back. Cata was and still is the worst expansion to date to most players.
I played classic from the start. I enjoyed all 3 expansions, transitioning from one to the next as laid out by Blizzard. It wasn’t perfect by any means. No expectation for it to be.
I did most of what the game had to offer. Cleared all the raids on lots of characters, always before nerfs, and pvp’d on all the alts in every classic expansion so far.
As much as I enjoyed it, I don’t see the point of era. I didn’t clone my vanilla characters, and I wouldn’t clone TBC or wrath if offered. It’s just a trophy case with zero utility. By the time era could potentially be offered, the vast majority of players have either moved on to the subsequent iteration or started enjoying another game.
So what if era would let me log on every once in awhile and mess around, do a raid in my bis gear for no progression? Raids I already struggled through, progressed, conquered, and farmed with the guild ad nauseum. Why would I want to? The guild has already moved on. And me as well, not to mention 99% of all the players.
This option to “log on every once in awhile and mess around” is worthless to me. Some screenshots or vods would more than suffice, but honestly I probably wouldn’t even go back and look at them. Too much other stuff to enjoy.

Oh good, so the expansion as a whole is gonna last a good while just like most people expect
Since, you know…LFR wasn’t added until the final tier, which is generally regarded as one of the worst raids in the game, LFR or otherwise, and even the pro-Cata people acknowledge is not going to be a popular time for Classic
I guess Im ok with Cata coming, It did have one qol I liked. I main a hunter and was glad they took manna away and a couple of other things. My plan is to get my “Family” the hell out of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms before that dragon trashes the place. and never go there again no matter how many toons I cant get out.
In my opinion they made the old world look like crap and totally ugly and not to mention the back ground music , it was to me. ear splitting. Most of the new music sounded like a WWII documentary marching music. Just my opinion ymmv.

Just the thought of running Cata dungeons in LFG is enough to make me unsub. Player base is already bad enough in Wrath, can’t imagine how that will go in Cata.

Link is dead, page not found. They removed the thread.
No they dont that sale was blocked by the UK. and yes they certainly do rely on subs, any fool could see that, well maybe not everyone of them.
You and like 200 other people out of 2million subs. cool story bruv.
Cata will go twice as fast as Wrath/TBC/Classic phases. They can up the loot if they want to match it. They can’t keep this snails pace up for Cata/MoP/WoD/Legion run.

There were a lot of people that begged to keep vanilla servers before TBC Classic released. Many of those players had the same reasoning. “Vanilla is the true classic experience” - “Vanilla is the most popular WoW on private servers”.
Blizzard kept the vanilla servers up, yet they were completely dead after the launch of TBC. You might find 1 or 2 people logged in on a good day. The only reason vanilla came back to life is because a few years have passed since people last played it and the hardcore addon brought new life to the game. In addition, Wotlk was a huge disappointment to most WoW streamers, and most opted to return to vanilla for hardcore and these players drive a lot of the population.
If Blizzard keeps Wrath servers, they will be dead the day Cata drops. Your sub will be lost anyway.
It originally was blocked by the UK but after a restructuring of the deal it was approved by U.K. regulators in Oct.
Currently the deal has been approved in most markets.
I agree. especially to speed up cata to get to MoP.
When classic BC launched. Players left and right said “Hey I wander if they will release MoP to”.
Not once since era and up did I read anyone say “man can’t wait till cata releases” until this blizzcon.
These players pushing for cata only do so to hope to get MoP.
Cata will die off fast. Did the first time will again

“What Asmongold likes/dislikes” isn’t a great metric for success.
This is what I’ll be doing as well
Then this is bad then, as Microsoft will probably kill these side games, if for anything other than to kill competition with Xbox or whatever other consoles they have out or working on.
None of the people i know and i know quite a few as i’ve been playing since 2005 have ever said that EVER… the only positives I’ve heard about a MoP expac is that they had good pets… thats not a ringing endorsement of an mmo…LOL
Yeah it was mostly players with jokes at the time. No one believed we would see cata and up for classic. Point is MoP was talked about. cata wasn’t even in any convo that I ever read until recently with blizcon.
