No weapon drops in Castle Nathria?

Wut? Did I go back in time to Legion with Artifact weapons? How can this be?

Weapons drop as Tokens you redeem in your Covenant Sanctuary.

“Hello, one pointy murderstick please, extra haste.”

Yup weapon and off hands drop in the form of tokens traded to a vendor in your Covenant.

Well, that seems like an unnecessary extra step. Why do this for raids but not mythic dungeons?

Probably to let players select what they want instead of having it as a random drop that may or may not be relevant to those who get it.

That is better than got something that isnt useful for you.

It was a good move imho

It’s especially useful for those classes/specs that can use both 1h and 2h. Let’s you choose which you’d like to have.

It is a far better way to get weapons because you get to pick.

Demonology Warlocks can get a nice Two-Hander for their Felguard or Wrath Guard with extra weapon tokens, now to find a Demonology Warlock.

You get to choose now! Yay, no more frustration from accidentally leaving my loot spec as Survival!

That’s what loot specialization is for. Plus an actual weapon drop means you can equip it right away and continue on without having to turn in tokens. Besides, seeing a weapon drop is exciting. A token dropping is meh.

The weapons are Covenant focused with own skins so hence the tokens instead of straight drop.

Came here to post this.

Can we choose the secondaries on this? Because that would be boss

Fair enough. At least my confusion was cleared up.

Unfortunately no, the weapons are set and we just turn in the token for the weapon of choice. You can actually view them at the vendor though, so that is nice.

I think it would be awesome to have a runecrafter-like system that lets us forge a raid weapon. Not a legendary but just a regular epic raid weapon.

I think they should do a better job period when it comes to secondartsts. Why tf is everything mastery right now. Most classes prioritize haste.

Did you even play Legion? Legion gave you an amazing weapon right from the start. Shadowlands gives you NO weapon at all…how do you mix two systems up so badly? Legion’s system was amazing. Guaranteed amazing weapon and you just put the time in to upgrade it…

How are you even that dense to compare that system to a new system in Shadowlands that gives you NO weapon whatsoever…mind blown.

I think the weapons have covenant specific skins, no?

EDIT: God dammit, necro thread. Why???
