“Ghostcrawler : We really felt like this was a great way to increase the flexibility available to players and encourage them to take part in more aspects of the game. To use just one example, some players like to participate in both raids and Arenas, which is awesome behavior that we want to promote. But, there are some talents which are more useful in one part of the game than another. Currently, players have to pay respec costs and go through the process of setting up the desired talent spec and action bars whenever they switch.”
Just cause you refuse to see why Dual Spec was put in the game, it’s like as if people want to have a spec for pvp and pve…hmmmm
I have no idea what you’re trying to say. Arenas were added in TBC. They’re in TBCC.
I guess you were just looking for some reason to throw out insults. Apparently saying that TBCC should be authentic to TBC makes you a crybaby. Interesting line of reasoning there.
Anyway, as I said dual spec will be there in Wrath where it belongs.
Technically it diminishes farming gold at all. I would argue at this point the majority of my gold is spent on respecs.
I farmed that gold in order to be able to be a good guildie raider and keep competitive in PvP. While I’m not opposed to dual spec per say. Yes, yes it does devalue certain things.
God you’re so annoyingly aggressive and for what? Pixels on a screen about a dead game from 15 years ago lol.
There’s literally no conversation here, just a bunch of buzzwords you’re trying to quickly machine gun me with out of your erection holster. It’s like a watching a real virtual stroke happen right in front me.
That said, you still said that TBC should have dual spec, and instantly followed that up with “Go play retail”… So I really don’t know what you want, just another homie with an extra chromie trying to look cool on the forums.
I also was saddened by the boosts as well. Especially from the perspective of a new dranny or blood elf, knowing that many characters simply boosted to 58 during pre-patch really left a sour taste in my mouth. I didn’t allow it to ruin my fun, but, I think many people will agree that the first few days or weeks of a new release, when everyone is leveling together, is probably the most exciting time of the game.

If you can change to any role at any time, is it really a ROLE playing game? Go play fortnite or something.
Don’t know if trolling…or this is your actual take. Being able to change your role at any time does not take away from the role playing aspect of an RPG? How many RPGs have a class/job system that you can change?
Final Fantasy 14 is so much more immersive as an rpg and you can literally do every class and every gathering profession on a single character because…it respects your time and makes the story revolve around the characters and not “I r swing two handed sword so I cannot fathom how to use sword and shield”.
Like that $40 level 58 boost? You think it’s going to stop there? This game is going to be rushed and ruined by the developers long before the players will ruin it. I don’t know why everyone is so adamantly against QoL changes. If you honestly think that Blizzard isn’t going to find a way to run this game into the dirt, you’re fooling yourself. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
You are underestimating the number of people that don’t “farm” or have a stable of profession alts, etc. A lot of people play a few hours a week, whether that is to raid log or just getting on on to a dungeon or two with friends. For these players–not you–that 100g a week to tank a few dungeons, or to help a friend in arena, does sting.
And yet miraculously players dealt with it just fine in 2007. When there were far more casuals.
And guess what…when Blizzard started adding tons of conveniences and increased accessibility….the casuals left. Because the VAST majority just play a game to chill out and have fun. They don’t come to the forums to whine about and nitpick every little perceived inconvenience. But sadly Blizz has listened to that entitled 1% for many years now, and we’ve seen what happened. But sure, let’s go down the same path again!
