No Voidform?

Is this gonna be a possibility for PvP with DF or am I gimping myself? The idea of not having to take it is so appealing.

[EDIT]: Maybe even something like this? Playing around with the trees is so fun.

That correct. This is one of those things were the devs said people would be allowed to make stupid choices or builds.

Make sure to also wisely opt out of power infusion as well

Dial 1 to priest! Im going for the one button rotation. God forbid i have a second button to press!

The build has power infusion no worry there lol.

That’s what I’m saying! It might be too early to tell and Blizz might make it mandatory to take due to Tier or whatever in the future anyway, but if I don’t have to take it then it’s pretty great.

You would consider playing Voidform in PVP, so long as you had access to Power Infusion in PVP?

Knowing that Voidform cannot be dispelled and unlocks a spell that cannot be interrupted because it is instant-cast, while Power Infusion can be both dispelled and stolen?

This is a mind-boggling approach.

I just don’t like being a purple tentacle monster, if it ends up being better to take it then obviously I would have to if I wanted to Spriest in PvP.

It seems kinda crazy though that shadow has like 11 abilities as talents. Why do sin rogues not have to pick vendetta? The whole top two tiers just feels like you are getting your regular rotation back and the only interesting part of it is the bottom tier.

Voidform is a must have talent so there is 0 agency in making it a talent. If you have to pick it then what is the point in making it a talent other than proving there is a lack of creativity to design meaningful talents in a talent tree and it’s being used as filler?

Shadow design is going to continue to suffer through DF sadly.

Very good point, yeah even looking at Classic trees there aren’t that many abilities… it’s more enhancements for already existing things. Many of the things off the DF trees should be baseline already without having to select.

Yeah this is gonna bite, I’m at the very least happy Mindgames made it back into the toolkit though.

There’s no way around this I guess. The decisions behind the skills and their placement in the trees specifically are designed to nerf the class/spec. I find all CC to be extraneous and should be on the outskirts of the trees or baseline. CC is a core mechanic in WoW’s design I don’t understand why we are punished from enjoying building our characters by having to spend points on CORE MECHANICAL skills.

Its going to finally be a (viable) possibility indeed! As is a shadow priest not using shadowform! Exciting is it not?! :innocent:

Would be nice to toggle the effect for those that want it, but I don’t really have a problem with Shadowform personally and it’s a flat 10% damage increase so it’d be hard to not use.

A toggle would be nice indeed!

I’ve never care for it and now in DF its looking like forgoing it will be viable, so i’m currently happy. I most def will not be “form dancing” lol. gotta see how things play though.
