Shadow priest, retribution paladin and feral druid all remain useless in classic. It’s dumb.
They are all strong in pvp. Spriest is one of the strongest wpvp specs.
Feral druids make good tanks in raids except for a few encounters where they arent necessarily ideal.
The game doesnt revolve around parsing and neither should classes and specs.

Yeah nobody is forcing every guild to run speed run comps. I remember back in vanilla. Not every guild ran 15+ warriors

T1/T2 went through lots of revisions. There were set bonuses directly geared towards 2h DPS on one of them, I don’t remember which. It was a 5pc bonus that would give you a holy damage proc on melee hit.

Ret is not busted in TBC at all. You may be thinking of Wrath but even then, as a dps class, they are never the top.

I generally do not get this, people seem to be under the impression that because Ret is incredibly mid that it means it should be buffed to suddenly compete with Fury Warrior.
Ret is perfectly fine in raids the only people who genuinely complain about bringing a Ret Paladin are minmaxing people who want to clear their raids in 30+ minutes instead of just enjoying themselves, to which you are never going to appease.
Ret’s not even the bottom of damage, Warlock and Hunter exist its just when compared to their melee brothers in Rogue and Warrior do they suffer.
Would it be nice if Prot had a taunt? Sure, but Prot can off-tank fine without it is clunky and weird cause of how you generate threat? Absolutely, but that applies to most classes in Vanilla.
Would it be nice if Ret had an extra universal damage button? Sure but it wouldn’t really change much, a singular damage button wouldn’t fix Ret tuning, end-game raiding ret is significantly dependent on Gear.
