lmao what
If Blizzard is smart they will charge a fee for players to transfer from SoM to WoTLK during prepatch, because if they make people wait two months to transfer they will find far fewer interested parties.
You are obsessed with peoples achievements in Classic and SoM its so weird.
Literally nobody cares if you were r14 in classic. It was such a meme, we bloated and stacked the brackets so hard.
Trust me, nobody cares if you have a scarab lord. Some of these servers had 60+ scarabs. Nobody and i mean nobody cares.
You all were told at SoM beginning that all toons rolled would be only on SoM servers, why the hell should they change it just because your butt hurt and whining.
Normally I’d just flame you, but I can tell my previous posts have you DEEP in them fee fees.
it’s despicable, really
The fact that you don’t know means that you either never played SoM or you weren’t involved in the community if you did. Either way, your ignorance of the linen wars validates that your opinion on this subject literally doesn’t matter lol.
I played on Vendorstrike.
What are you crying about though?
Linen wars? LMAO
I didn’t express an opinion. I asked for an answer or explanation that apparently you are unwilling to provide. Whatev.
show some respect.
he’s a linen war veteran
Honestly, this 115%. I don’t think it could be any more accurate. It feels like they’re keeping us from the community for absolutely no reason. My ERA characters and SOM characters feel like hostages. Just let the transfers happen so we can play the game with a healthy population again. Classic is teetering on unplayable at this point and there’s no reason for it to be this way. Who is benefiting here?
Bro, just take a breathe. You don’t know how to parse, you buy all your gear in gdkp. Just let it go. You just mentioned parsing more times in one post then I have in this whole thread.
My only guess, and this could be 100% wrong, is because SOM functions differently than Classic, maybe there is something about the characters that makes setting them up for transfer harder in some sense. Maybe, from there, they revert back to “normal” at the “end” of SOM and as normal they can transfer with less work on Blizzard’s part. Blizz is pretty dang lazy after all…
Very high possibility. I’m sure it’s not just a button press on their end. It’s still such a bummer getting no player interaction on an mmo… Feels like this should be a high priority. We all know they’re focusing all of their brain power on how to make the wings in dragonflight look cooler though
a lot of us arent talking about the free transfer at end of SOM that blizzard promised, we are expressing a need for a paid copy service to era or prepatch wotlk ASAP so SOM toons arent robbed of a prepatch and launch event. a lot of folks are mixing up transfer and copy terminology here, blizz & myself included. the blue post seems to think we want SOM to be declared over and open up transfers. I definitely should’ve put the term character copy in the thread title.
Dear Blizzard,
Here are some solutions to make everyone happy it seems:
-
Open up a paid copy service for SoM/Era for prepatch. Make it a short window.
-
Gold cap/ Item cap copies
-
Make SoM achievements/Titles have a specific SoM name/version. Make the scarab mount the red bug so black bugs can be protected.
I don’t see people having any issues if this is what you do and will absolutely generate revenue.
Thanks for your time again,
-loving community member
Dude sitting in here talking about he a big boy and parses with his double/triple lusts… man… how do you play a class where you execute spam with lust every fight?
Please teach us the way almighty big boy man.
Please so sit somewhere while the adults chat. Everything about you, is exactly what the community hates and wants to be rid of.
blizzard should never have caved and offered wrath transfers off SoM. blizzard has no dang backbone. can’t consistently stand their ground on anything
you gave people an inch, and now look, they’re asking for a mile.
please please let us pay to get off SoM early!!!
how about no. SoM’s cadence is 1 year. you should be stuck here until November at the earliest. sadly, it seems like Blizzard is already wavering on this, suggesting that you might be able to get out at 11 months. sigh
God, I hope you’re joking. Otherwise, this is an incredibly sad thing to be upset about.
Please touch some grass.

I agree that SOM should have lasted its full 12 months before any copies or transfers were offered, but now that Blizz botched the Wrath launch date, they are robbing SOMers of a launch experience. This isn’t our fault, this is Blizzard’s fault for not timing the cadence of their servers correctly with communities in mind. Wrath pre-patch should’ve dropped the day SOM concluded.
While I am happy for you and others to be getting an option that was not originally on the table when you rolled on a seasonal server, the promise of a launch experience (other than SoM itself) was not on offer so being “robbed” is erroneous. Many, many more players are in TBCC currently and to make them wait for the handful (in comparison) of individuals still in SoM would be detrimental to their experience by extending/“botching” the Wrath launch date.
Kaivax posted an update and reminder that SoM will not be cut short.
I am sorry but you will have to wait at this time unless you play on an existing TBCC server or roll on the freshie to be released with pre-patch.
