What’s up with that? We know they are out there from BFA.
They are the cousin twice removed… We don’t talk about them.
You clearly have steered clear of 10.2 story spoilers. Until now, I guess.
Well, we know they aren’t exactly on friendly terms with the rest of the flights
The Silitherdrakes mostly replaced their presence.
…which is funny if you notice some things in Dragonflight haven’t appeared like Dragonmen (Dracthyr), the Twilight Hammer (Primalists), or Mimiron (Koranos) to expand a couple of concepts but that’s only my two bolts.
That’s actually not the case.
For that matter what’s the lowdown on the Netherwing Flight?
Sorry, I made that very vague and thoughtless
The best position for the Twilight Dragons would’ve been the discovery of Abberus and the development of Wrathion, Ebonhorn, and Sabellion but the Silitherdrakes and Dracthyr were used for the concept of what remains of the Black Dragonflight.
edit: I assume the best way to explain a lack of presence is how Baine isn’t really part of the Dragonflight story about the Incarnates and Sundered Flame or the development for those characters.
I’m going to avoid spoiling you in case you haven’t checked out upcoming story stuff and just say that the Netherdrakes haven’t been ignored by the story of Dragonflight.
You can find details if you look for them, but if you want to experience the story organically, I don’t want screw it up for you here.
Nether Dragons aren’t Twilight Dragons sir.
We’ve seen Infinite Dragons, Storm Dragons, Nether Dragons, the 5 Great Dragonflights, Proto Dragons, Faerie Dragons, Whimsydragons, Dragonkin, Dracthyr, Slitherdrakes and the varied Dragon-Animals of the Dragon Isles but haven’t encountered Twilight Dragons nor Nightmare Dragons!
2 Varieties of Dragon that are ignored by Dragonflight…
Or Chromatics, but that could be because there isn’t any left.
I dont think theres any twilight dragons in 10.2.
Think I was confusing netherwings.
Weren’t the twilight dragons artificially created by Neltharion and Nefarion?
…or Deathwing’s mate Sintharia and Zendarin Windrunner.
Sinestra didn’t call her creations Twilight Dragons while Deathwing did call his perfected masterpieces Twilight Dragons after the name that that Draenei gave Sinestra’s creations.
Deathwing was always better than his children at creating new Dragonflights: He created the Dracthyr which were the perfect version of the Chromatic Dragonflight and he created the Twilight Dragonflight which were the perfected version of the Dragonflight that Sinestra created.
His Adamantium Armor was also superior to the Faceless Ones’ Shadowflame Elementium Armor they invented in Aberrus which started ripping him apart and shattered his remaining sanity to pieces. Their only successful work of art the Slitherdragons ran away before they could be Void Corrupted into the Void’s service.
Deathwing has constantly been imitated by incompetent henchmen who all failed to uphold his Legacy and dragged him down with them into oblivion.
He let the Faceless design his armor for Cataclysm despite once rebelling against the Old Gods for daring to demand that he let go of the Dragon Soul. He should have remained working with Goblins for his Armor.
If he had he might have completed the Chromatic Dragonflight into perfection due to retaining his Sanity despite accepting the power of the Void.
Both Deathwing before accepting the Shadowflame Elementium Armor and Iridikron were more competent than their henchmen and knew how to create effective masterpieces. Iridikron knew that only Fire Protodragons could become Shadowflame Dragons which is why he sent Fyrakk down there.
Fyrakk’s intelligence improved as a result of Iridikron’s schemes and switched to corrupting the World Tree(while also consuming the Firelord apparently according to some who’ve played the PTR) instead of mindlessly burning it as he would have had he not bathed in the Shadowflame.
What in the fanfic did I just read?!
We encounter some twilight dragon stuff in the first zone Waking Shores just north of Neltharius. I think that is about it though.
