Perhaps this has been overlooked but the Moonlight buff granted in Tirna Vaal is amazing. For some context, there is a NPC in Ardenweald that grants a buff for 10 min that changes the skybox and darkens a lot of textures. It’s been a favorite of mine for a few weeks now and I often find myself pathing through there just to get it before doing daily quests.
I was wondering if there is in development a toy that offers the buff. Perhaps a longer 1-2 hour duration would be great!
I was wondering if anyone felt the same as I do…

I’m unsure of this buff you refer to or what exactly it does, but it sounds a lot like the effects of thst uhhh… Inky Black potion? That’s sold at Darkmoon Faire iirc, which makes it look like a deep dark black night for you. It’s a pretty popular potion, but no toy for it yet to my knowledge
It’s not as extreme as the Inky Black Potion.

They should just let us get toys that change the skybox with unlimited duration
Doesn’t affect anyone but the user, dunno why they’re so stingy about keeping the world midday 24-7

Would be a nice option as another potion. I love the Inky Black Potion but the Skybox it uses is really outdated looking.

I just noticed that you can actually carry the effect outside of Ardenweald. This is legitimately a good, proper “night” tone. Everything is noticeably darker, but still completely visible, and it looks great barring the odd texture that doesn’t allow shading.
To anyone who wants to check it out, if you’ve completed the secret that gets you the Wildseed Cradle mount, speak to Twinklestar near the Tirna Vaal’s southern exit, and she will give you the buff.

Definitely looks a bit truer to the old school Vanilla night lighting to me. IBP is fun but a bit too dark imo.

This is the first in hearing of this buff. Personally I think Ardenweald looks is best during the star shower where the sky turns a dark purple. Inky black potion is nice but the sky needs a major update.
Why are wows night time colors so awful and bright?
It’d be nice, but I don’t mind the existing skybox and am usually not looking at it. I use a custom gamma/brightness/contrast config for Inky Blackness that makes the world more visible while retaining the darkness and the fantastic lighting effects.
Speaking from my own experience as someone who mostly plays during the evening, it’s actually nice in a lot of zones / areas to not always have a completely dark / night sky because it can make it hard to see things.
I’ve noticed many times that even with the “brighter” night sky, there’s times where I miss things that I would have easily noticed during the day time.
There are a couple of buffs / items that do help provide sunlight views during the evening, but they’re limited time items.
Anyway, I digress, I still really like the idea of a Moonlight toy as the OP mentioned. 
I agree with you, it can be hard to see sometimes. I just play as a Night Elf so it just feels more natural sometimes.
After looking at more screenshots, the OP is right we need that buff as a toy. This is how Ardenweald should always look. Either like this or how it does in Hiberbal Hollow. For place that’s supposed to be in eternal night its pretty bright.
